What is(are) some core Neurology textbooks?

From what I've seen as a rotating medical student: Kandal and Schwartz, Blumenfeld and Localization's seem to be popular texts among neuro residents.
I've also found Lange Clinical Neurology to be popular among neuro residents, since it's very thorough about topics, yet concise at the same time.

heheh, I would be careful about bringing that to work though. Lange books are really for medical students and those residents not pursuing neurology.
One other book that all neurology residents have is a solid neuro-imaging text.
Some use Requisites Neuroradiology (since this is what most radiology residents use for their boards), Castillo or if you're really hard-core... Diagnostic And Surgical Imaging (which I absolutely love, though it is horribly expensive and more useful for surgeons/radiologists).

Bradley and Daroff "Neurology in Clinical Practice"
Merritt's "Textbook of Neurology"
Patten "Neurological Differential Diagnosis"
Samuels and Feske "Office Practice of Neurology"
The top two are the "tried and true" neuro texts, like Harrison's is for IM. They are rather dry, but useful when you want to look up something specific.
The bottom two are much more modern, and in my opinion are easier to read. Patten is great because it is case-based and incorporates a ton of neuroanatomy with good drawings in the teaching. Samuels and Feske is a very practical text, with a lot of great pictures.

Although I owned Lange and read it as a M3/M4, I also enjoyed reading Hankey and Wardlaw (http://www.amazon.com/Clinical-Neurology-Graeme-J-Hankey/dp/1888799676/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1234215481&sr=1-1)
as well as Bickerstaff's text on the neuro exam. (anyone know the code for embedding a link...apparently the icon for inserting a link does that and only that...)
