Born to be a Doctor?

This one time three years ago I broke my arm. I was informed, improperly, that my keys were in a throttling wood chipper. Alas they were not; I shall never wear a cast again; the itching drove me insane. From now on, all my locks shall be keyless...
 
Not quite, but I do believe that everything happens for a reason. I have taken a somewhat non-traditional approach with this whole process. I started out wanting to do clinical psych and ultimately get a Ph.D. Towards the end of my sophomore year I decided on the medical route. I'm now registered for the MCAT, and I will be taking orgo II this Summer.

That said, I don't feel that I was born to do this, per se, but I do believe that all of this happens for a reason.

but srsly, I think saying "born as a doctor" almost seems like whatever medical situation you come in contact with, you just happened to make all the right medical decisions without prior training or knowledge. Don't know if that is possible....is it? :idea:

I know for a fact that the FEELING I get with medicine, I don't get it with any other profession.

Yeah, I got a 260 on Step I the moment they cut my umbilical cord. I got jaundice before the Step II test date, but thank god that isn't mandatory.

I'm not gonna make up some story..

I just said hey i wanna be a doctor, then left after soph yr in high school then dual enrolled in college, then the journey started from there....thats it..
 
Nope. I'm just a person, not some gift to the world.

Ummmm, it's strange that you ask that, but through out my whole life people said I was born not to be a doctor.
I totally agree with them, then three years later I end up in medical school. How the fack did that happen?
 
i feel i was born to be a doctor to cure become and cast all evil from their souls and to punish those that don't follow the Quran 👎

You have to give once some credit for maintaining her earnest naivete and complete lack of sarcasm despite the multiple flamings she has and will continue to receive from the SDN community.

It's like watching a puppy repeatedly try to climb a set of stairs despite tumbling down time after time.

Chelsea has a drinking problem and has been unreliable. I had to find a quick replacement.

But seriously though, shes pregnant in those pics?? How far along is she supposed to be? I gotta go do some sit ups right quick. Brb.

i think those pics were taken in her first trimester- not sure how far along hse is now

It's REALLY common to be bloated in the first trimester, and it mostly just makes you look fat, not pregnant. It usually goes away by the end of the first trimester than you start to really show in the second (again, usually). It's not fun.

I am a haploid sperm and I know in my future heart that being a doctor is my calling. Assuming I fertilize an egg, go through a normal fetal development, have decent APGAR scores, finish preschool, elementary school, and high school, and then go to a university and get a good grades, do well on the MCAT, and then apply to medical school, I'll be one for sure!

All jokes aside its amazing the sense of entitlement some people have towards becoming a doctor. Your not born to become a doctor, you earn your way into med school through hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice.
