Last year I didn't hear back from them until December 18th (Interview was Jan 3rd) and the letter was dated December 15th, so there's still a ton of time left to...well, wait....😴

I was really thinking it was a rejection letter based on how quickly it got here to be honest.

Although, I have to admit, I'm feeling a little awkward/scared/sad since I didn't get an e-mail from Iowa concerning an interview yet.

I know how you feel... ISU's my IS, and it's more than a little nerve-wracking seeing others start to get interview invites! 😱 But... at least we know that they're starting to send them out. And remember that there are more interviews from January 9-10 and 17-18, so there's still plenty of time to hear from them. Good luck!

I'm currently finishing up my PhD in molecular biology (I defend in 2 weeks, agghhhhh!!! no stress, no stress). I'd expected to finish this past summer, but you know how research goes 🙂 So I requested a deferral, and NC was generous enough to grant one (they've since changed the requirements for deferrals, so I got doubly lucky!)

If you have specific questions feel free to PM me, though I honestly don't know if I can offer any worthwhile advice 🙂

Mine starts with an S and...well I'm holding out hope.

Though logic tells me that if they were going in alphabetical order it wouldn't really matter because e-mail is almost instantaneous. Surely they'd let us know if we didn't get an invite, right? Or is that a common thing? 'If you don't hear from us you weren't invited.'?

But then again, A&M didn't go in alphabetical order this year so there's that.

Nope! I called to see the same thing, and they said not to worry because they will be sending emails next week as well in a second batch of interview invitations. Don't give up! 🙂

Phew, that's good to know!

But yeah, I mean I'm sure if we're not invited, they probably would inform us of that at the same time as those that are invited, wouldn't they?
