Just last week (I think?) someone mentioned having miscellaneous "cheat sheets" that they made for certain clinical situations, and someone mentioned having cheat sheets/drip cards/etc in their "jump kit" (for when they first hit the ground as an attending).

Anyone want to share what's in their jump kit ?

Thanks for starting this thread, RF.

I was thinking that I would need:

* Tarascon's pocket EM
* A good drip card

Other recommendations appreciated.

Books:
EMRA ABx Guide
Tarascon EM & Ortho
Broselow Tape
Baby Goldfrank's (I'm a tox dork)

Stuff:
Headlamp (for sutures; the overhead klieg lights make me awful hot)
Long PIVs (US lines; can never find the damn things when I need them)
Multitool (SOG or Leatherman)

Cheers!

I can tell you some of the things I carry around.

Rhino rockets (some of my hospitals don't stock them)
Word catheters (ditto)
30g needles for wound infiltration (some of my places only have 25s)
Meds for me - Rolaids, Motrin, Tylenol, IcyHot - the days when the nurses could pull you a motrin are long gone.
Tape measure - don't need one often but then that snake bite rolls in
Alligator forceps - (ditto again)
Extra pens
Quick clot pads

I have some other stuff I keep in my car like a Derm atlas. It's around if I really need it but I don't have to carry it with me.
