audition

Trying to narrow down which programs would be best to do an away at. Leaning east coast, open to anywhere, thinking community based. I'm at an institution that highly recommends that we do 2+ away rotations, so please no "aways aren't beneficial" replies.

I'm starting my PGY1 year soon and we have the option of doing an off-site elective if we do not have a PGY2 spot lined up. I'm just wondering if it's recommended to try and do an audition as a PGY1 (versus a MS4) and if programs even allow it? Any thoughts would be great. Thank you!

So I'm a 4th year DO student looking to apply for DR residency but I'm not too sure of my chances of matching and if I should risk it. I've talked to a few new residents at different programs and they said if I apply broadly I should have a good chance, but I'd like to know what you guys think...
