One of the best things about being an Ob-Gyn is that you get to be both a surgeon and a primary care doctor. If you are having trouble choosing between these two areas, Ob-Gyn is the only specialty where you can do both. On the flip side, the hardest things about this specialty is that you have...
Hello all,
I am a BioEngineering Student, and I am currently doing a Senior Capstone Project on Chorionic Villus Sampling. My team and I have been researching and interviewing various doctors about the procedure and how residents and medical students often train for it. However, we would...

Ask me anything.
I'm an Ob/Gyn and will be finishing my residency at the end of the month.
Female, married, early 30s, 3 young kids (one born in residency). Was a med school reapplicant.
Also a *long* time SDN member and appreciative of all the great advice I found here.
How quickly is the landscape of ob/gyn changing to become more lifestyle friendly? (ex. some hospitals have laborists, larger call groups)
(I am sorry if this has already been posted, I have looked around but have not found much/ the posts I have found are older)
Hey!
I was really hoping someone out there could be provided with some guidance or advice. I want to apply to an ACGME OB/GYN residency, however there are some catches. I need to limit myself geographically due to my husband being in the military, southern California (preferably, we are already...
Hello all :)

I've not decided on a specialty yet; all I know is...

Has anyone recently gone through OB GYN rotations at any military hospital that could shed light on how they compare? I would also love to hear from any current resident about their thoughts on where to apply to rotate and perform a residency.
This thread was created last year and was extremely helpful for applicants from my school. Please post dates of when you receive interview invitations from each place as they come in. Simply copy and paste the previous post and add new places to it.
Good luck everyone!
Looking for anyone interested in swapping PGY-1 (soon to be PGY-2) position. I'm located in the Midwest. Interested in any/all locations. PM for more details.
How did your residency planning & match go? Help out the next class as they're already gearing up for ERAS. Message me your answers to the following questions and I'll post them anonymously. Recommended: don't be specific enough to identify yourself.
1. Did you match ObGyn?
2. What position on...
