Hey guys -

Just curious, is there anyone that is planning to NOT live in the dorms during first year of med school?

I will most definitly NOT live in the dorms first year (or any year hopefully). I am a non-trad and married. I just hope I can afford an apartment wherever it is I end up.

I will try NOT to live in dorms. The ultimate decision really depends on the school/city that I end up in...some places just do not have readily available and affordable apartments.

there are dorms in med school? Where?

Several med schools have dorms. Northwestern is one. Their dorms are right on Lake Michigan and located off the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago. I would consider living in a dorm if it was there, but otherwise I would want an apartment.

Cornell, Mt Sinai, Columbia, NYU.. they all have dorms, if you choose to live there.. NYC housing is quite expensive, so maybe it is worthwhile to live in dorms there.
