I know Hopkins has the 9 month MPH program. I'm not sure about any like that in the NY area though... I suppose if you were super motivated you could complete a 2 yr program in 1 1/2 yrs by taking summer classes and one extra course each semester.

I don't know what your interests are but I am about to begin an MPH at Columbia in Environmental Health Policy. The program is 14 months- summer, fall and spring.

Dartmouth has a 1-year MPH in that vicinity (Hanover, NH).

Well *general* vicinity. Obviously, if the OP is interested in 1-year MPH programs, he's going to have to expand his radius beyond just NYC.
