DO yes, MD more difficult. Upward trend is good. EC's are lacking a little. Depends on your PS, LORs and Secondaries. I'd say go for it but also apply to SMP's.
You have already shown in the past 2 years trend and with your MCAT that you are no longer a C/B student. Not worth 50k and an extra year for an SMP. I'd go in expecting your best chance to be your NJ state schools, though.
