No news means nothing at this point tbh. Interview invites will continue in high volume over the next couple months atleast.
 
Received an email saying my application was deferred? Does anybody what does that mean?

That's what I thought too. My app was finished and submitted on 06/5, as soon as it was open for submission.

Sorry to hear! 🙁 Did you call them to see if they had all the required materials? I do not understand why they deferred an application this early in the cycle!
 
Got an interview invite today! South Dakota resident with a 22 AA, 23 TS, 19 PAT. Feels really good to finally get an invite 🙂

Little late posting this, but Iowa sent an "application received" email to me on June 12th and I was invited for an interview on June 13th. 🙂 I'm a Florida resident and I submitted my app June 6th.
 
Did your status on the AADSAS change from “verified” before receiving interview invites?

Negative. My status has remained at verified since receiving/scheduling an interview.
 
Sent out my application last Tuesday and received interview invite today. Anyone else have news yet?
 
My application was verified on 6/19, and I haven't heard anything from Iowa since they confirmed my application was complete. Do you you think I should contact them or continue waiting?

yeah call and ask, it won't harm. since they sent interviews and rejections

I haven't contacted them yet. I am working outside of the U.S. this summer, so finding times to call that fit with my work schedule is a challenge.
 
submitted 7/16, verified 7/20. havent received email. OOS applicant should i call?

I applied in early July and recieved the email stating that they have received all of my materials, but I haven’t got an email since. Should I call them?

The emails I received were:
1. AADSAS application received 2. Invitation to interview, info about HawkID and fee 3. Portal to pay fee and create ID 4. Portal to schedule interview 5. Confirmation of interview date

Calling may make it seem like you feel entitled to an interview. I suppose if you go about it the right way it would be fine. I wouldn't personally. What does your AADSAS status say?

Anybody that applied to Iowa received the email to attend the virtual interview session no matter where they are in the application process!
 
how long did it take after you submitted your application to get rejected?
 
Does anyone know how many interview dates they originally offered? Looks like it’s down to three options at this point.

When I signed up back in July, there were a good bit. I don’t recall the exact number but around 10, if more more.

Thanks! I finished my application in July but had to wait on my last letter of recommendation until just a few weeks ago. It was very frustrating. I’m scheduled to interview November 1st and I’m worried that interviewing late will hurt my chances of being accepted

I don't think that interviewing November 1st will hurt your application. As long as you're pre-December, you should be good!
