Thanks @gonnif! One last question-- for schools with the optional additional info section and no diversity/adversity prompt, would it be appropriate to mention my identity as LGBT and desire to work with URM populations/join specific student groups? There was no box to check on AMCAS and it's a pretty big part of my identity.

Hello! So I've seen a lot of conflicting comments on threads regarding whether or not to leave the optional sections blank that are asking for additional information not included in the primary app. Is it better to answer "why this school"? I also am kind of worried about my low C/P score (125) on the MCAT (513)-- should I bring this up and mention that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer the week of my MCAT?

The bolded will only have people question your judgement as to why you took a high stakes, career deciding exam when you were not at your best.
