Does this internship specifically state in its details that it serves to recruit URMs? If so, I would be apt to discuss your experience in a way that is relevant to the internship. How did your orientation lead you to want to take care of a certain patient population, or understand health disparities in the LGTBQ+ community, what work have you done with LGBTQ+ that would exemplify you as a community-oriented person in the context of the internship, and other such things. You don't want to just mention your URM status, but really speak to its role in your journey.

I do wish to add that you should maybe inquire with the internship, if not explicitly stated, on if they consider LGBTQ+ as URM, since some organizations like AAMC do NOT consider LGBTQ+ as URM (although we are). Hope this helps.

Also, I love the profile pic.
