Hey guys
I'm 3 days out from my boards and I haven't done the 150 free questions - is it worth my time? I've taken 3 NBMEs but not I'm all the way through World. Do the 150 Free Questions provide explanations? Or an estimated score? If not I'm thinking just stick to World.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!

the free 150 questions are nigh useless if you are 3 days from the test.

Try it for a confidence boost if you would like

Or rather, use it to get familiar with the exact test format.

I don't think any of them really are "worth it" if you've already scored where you want to. I took the prometric one and I don't think I got much of anything from it.

There was one question for sure from the free 150 that showed up on my test yesterday that I would have missed otherwise. It was worded differently and shorter but gave me that extra point and saved me a minute of reasoning. Plus it's a nice confidence boost 🙂

Yes do the free 150..I had a repeat question as well...saved me time and also had repeat from NBME 7
Also its not all about what grade you get on these practice exams..its about doing enough questions so you know what they will ask you on the real thing...That's what I found to be the best.
Yes it gives you the answer but not explanations.
Also very good to make you familiar with the system. It's the same exact thing!

It's interesting to hear the different ideas. Thanks for the tips - I think I might try to work through them. Esp since it will be nice to see the software and I can *hope* for a repeat question!

Thanks!

I just did it (with the pdf) and I'm glad I did because it made me realize i'd forgotten a drug side effect. while it was overall easy, a couple of the questions were tricky.

I would schedule time to finish UWorld questions and relax the night before the exam. Good luck, keep your confidence high.
