Hey, Jarrod. Great blog, and congrats on the acceptance and decision to attend UPS! I have similar stats, although my GRE might be slightly higher (154 v 155 q 4.0 aw), and will be applying to many of the schools that you applied to last cycle--Pacific, University of Montana, NAU, and UPS, to name a few. I read that you received a rejection from NAU. What were the outcomes of your applications to Pacific and University of Montana? Those are really my top choices. Recently, I read that UPS gives preference to UPS students, so I'm reluctant to apply. However, your story gives me newfound hope. I look forward to hearing back from you. And good luck in your training. Best.

Furthermore, UPS does give a preference, but there are only 6 students in my cohort who had attended UPS previously as undergrads. Hey Jarrodmac. I'm glad PT school is going well and congtats on your engagement. I noticed on one of your posts that your undergrad stats were what I consider the upper end. Do you know if everyone at UPS had a gpa close to yours and do you know if any "average Joes" were accepted to the program ?

Rockstudy, here are the entrance stats for my cohort at UPS (bottom of page). I haven't really spoken to other students regarding their numbers, but I do know that UPS is more forgiving if you attended UPS as an undergrad. I will tell you this, once you get into a competitive program you all become average Joes haha.

Thanks for the info Jarrodmac. Hopefully my essays are what they are looking for. My GPA, GRE and Observation Hours seem to be in the range. With so many applicants to schools these days it's hard to find a way to " stand out " . Maybe with some luck I'll see you there in 2013.
