i just read through the guidelines for my test tomorrow and i saw that i need 2 forms of ID blahblahblah. but then it says the names on my ID's have to MATCH the name on my test...

my passport and social security and credit card and license ALL have my middle name on it. but i didn't include my middle name when i registered for the DAT... and prometric is closed now so i can't call... what do i doo? is this a HUGE problem??

I have the same issue. I called my prometric testing center and they said it does not matter. They will just check to see that your 2 pieces of ID match and the middle name/initial won't prevent you from testing. It could be different for your testing center, but hopefully not.

god thank you so much. hopefully it's the same. i just had a nervous breakdown thinking about it in addition to the stress from the test itself.

I have the same issue but I went to the center and they said they will go with the first and last name those should match up ...Good luck

i have another quesiton about id thing...
will my student id be counted as one of ids?

This checklist is a summary of the most frequent issues that create complications for examinees on the day of testing. The Department of Testing Services (DTS) encourages you to read the entire DAT Guide and to call the DTS at 800.232.2162 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 800.232.2162 end_of_the_skype_highlighting with any questions.

  • 1. I am bringing two original, current (not expired) forms of identification (ID) to the testing center:

  • One government issued ID, with my photograph and signature (e.g. driver license or passport)

  • One ID with my signature (e.g. social security card, credit card, debit card, library card)

  • 2. The name on my application matches my IDs exactly. I will contact the DTS if there is any possibility of a mismatch.
Examples:
Matching names: Joseph Anthony Smith and Joseph Anthony Smith or Joseph Anthony Smith and Joseph A. Smith
Non-matching names: J. Anthony Smith and Joseph A. Smith or Joseph Anthony Smith and Joseph Anthony Smith-Johnson
Got that from prometric.com under the DAT checklist.
Hope it helps!
