hey i was wondering, during the fall of my junior year, is it better to take 2 science courses (genetics and physics) and 2 electives,
or 3 science courses (genetics, physics, biochemistry) and 1 elective?

thanks a lot.

i dont really think it matters all that much, however if I were you Id take 3 just because that extra science calss may help you out more when it comes time to take the DAT rather than the elective course.

Take more science, biochemistry is a prereq for a lot of schools. Plus science courses in my opinion are more interesting. I have had semesters where the only elective course I took was a science elective. Also adcomms like to see rigorous course loads. Good Luck

do what you love, one day you will love what you do (hopefully that will be being a dentist)

I think being happy is important, because otherwise life is miserable. If you know that you will be unhappy taking such a heavy science load, just do the 2 classes. also consider taking a 3rd less rigorous science course (maybe a low lever neuro class?)

Next semester I am personally taking biochem and a class from the bio dept., foreign language class, and another elective.

dental schools want well rounded, well adjusted students.

if your grades will suffer from having biochem as a 3rd class, then don't take it, and just take it senior year.

if you like biochem and it is something that interests you, then take it. :hardy:
