How late is okay to add schools to an AMCAS application and still be at a decent track? For ex. If I get back my MCAT score on Aug 23rd and then decide to add more schools depending on the score then, is that fine?

For reapplicants: If I apply to 5 schools this year, don't get in, and then apply to a brand new set of 10 schools next year first time- can those 10 schools see my app from this year?

1-Yes
2-No. But they will probably be able to guess somehow that you are a reapplicant.

1) If you can get Secondaries back before Labor Day, you'll still be "on a decent track." As you probably won't get all the Secondary invitations by then, since some schools screen your application first, you will be slightly late for those schools. How much that will inconvenience you will depend on the strength of your application. Hopefully, you will pre-write common Secondary prompts while waiting for the MCAT score so your turn-around time is rapid when the invitation arrives.

2) You won't be a reapplicant for the ten new schools.
