I have a couple questions about Cinci Med... help me out if any of you know the details....

1. How are the students graded? Is it P/F? or Honors/Pass/Fail? or grades? etc etc

2. What is the typical day like? How many hours of class on average?

Thanks in advance.

I remember during my interview they said it was Pass/fail but there may have been a high pass also. I remember they had classes until noon or 1, also labs and stuff. I asked someone how many people go to class and they said about 50% are in class at any given time. They said class was kinda a waste for them. Hope that helps.

Hi,

At UC we're Honors (usually 93-100), High Pass (87-92), Pass (86-70) and Fail. This may vary slightly depending on the class. Like for biochem, pass was 67%.

In the first year, there's a lot of classes. They generally start at 8:00 and go until 2 or 3 unless you have small group in which case you get out at 5:00. However, you don't have to go to every class. I think once you've been in school for a while, you'll figure out what you need to go to and what you can skip. And they'll tell you the activities you don't have an option of skipping.

Second year, we were out by 12:00 everyday unless we had Intro to clinical practice history and physical which was one day a week. So overall, you spend a lot less time in class in second year.

Third year, a whole new ballgame...

Hope this helps. Any more questions feel free to PM me.

Hey guys,

Need some help. I have to decide between UC and a state school in NY. I'm a NY resident so I'm more familiar with the area in NY, but I think UC is a better school. I was just wondering what you guys like about UC? Pros/Cons? Thank you so much!!!
