I was waitlisted by HMS but immediately withdrew when I got into Penn. . . two other friends of mine were accepted there, SF, Penn and Stanford and one went to SF and the other is going to Penn.
I, and I am certain Jessica (among others) will agree that although Harvard is a great school, if you feel 'right' at another school that this is certainly more important -- furthermore, Harvard offers NO merit scholarships whereas many top private schools do -- e.g. Penn, WUSTL, etc. . .
I have infinite respect for those that choose their convictions over a name -- that being said, there are some out there for whom HMS is the appropriate choice.
Remember, name is NOT everything. . .

•withdrawing from Hahvud (damn that feels good!! No offense to those of you who are going to Harvard - I love the place, just not as much as I like Hopkins! and to those who got dissed by the big H, this one is for you  good luck to any SDN wait-listees
)•••••No offense, but that decision must have accompanied serious oxygen deficit.
Over 75% of Harvard acceptances matriculate; only 50% of Johns Hopkin's do.
Look at the NIH $$$$$$!!! Harvard is king of everything medically. Not that I like it, or even want to go there particularly..
Not that I believe you particularly either.
