Ha, I know what I should be doing...I've got finals next week, but it's really hard to concentrate on studying.

From past experience, you can never really remove the anxiety and desire for some sort of certainty. However, finding something else to occupy your time (i.e., planning for a vacation, getting excited about a work project, getting lost in a video game or movie) is the best way I found to not think about the admissions process SO much.

I think someone posted earlier that Dr. WC said Thursday's offers would be about half IS/half OOS (~40 & 40?).

yeah i can't take this much longer either. i have a lot of studying to do but i keep thinking about these decisions that come out thursday. i dont know if this is happening to anyone else but the longer i wait, the more pessimistic i am about getting in. i just think it would suck to wait two whole months and then find out I was rejected.

Yup I feel the same. I have finals next week and can't get myself to concentrate on my studying.

Of course I know the status page isn't going to change before 3/15, however, I'm obsessive and compulsive and still check.

I definitely hear you about getting more pessimistic as time goes by, I feel the same, and I started out positive! Guess we should realize that the pessimism is unfounded - we don't know anything more than we did the day after our interviews! Good luck to you & all!

The day after tomorrow...so close, yet so far away...Has anyone heard how many seats will be offered on Thursday? I know a couple of weeks ago somebody said ~80. Hopefully more people have dropped their acceptances since then, and more seats will be offered this week. 🙂

hey guys,
just wanted to wish you luck! if it helps, i got in literally a few wks before school started so I would say there is pretty good movement on the waitlist, especiallly after the drop date in may. I dunno if they still let you email during end of may/june to find out your relative place on the waitlist but I found that to be rather helpful. GOOD LUCK!!!

To the earlier question about how many off the waitlist- I would guestimate that 100+ people come off the waitlist. Just a guess though, but here's why:

About 360 get in per year and VCU/MCV does not over book (only ~184 acceptances out at one time) and I figure there is very little turnover until the waitlist is created (few people get rid of their VCU/MCV acceptance until March). This means by march only a little over 200 acceptances (maybe less) have been given out. That leaves a lot more to get up to the 360ish

Also from numerous sources I have heard that "half of the class come from the waitlist."

Take it for what it's worth...As always PM me if you have questions about MCV/VCU.

It's strange, I've gone from completely freaking out with stress to a sort of resignation...I guess whatever happens tomorrow, happens, there's not really anything we can do about it. I still want this BAD, though. Good luck everyone, and try to relax, though it's not easy!

True, but I've got 2 waitlists...I really DONT want to add to the collection, especially since I liked VCU better than the other 2 schools.
