I just submitted my application yesterday. When it took me to the print version, all my paragraph breaks had disappeared. I've heard from other schools that the HTML preview application thing makes the breaks go away, but that they can see them when they check online. If Einstein's not looking at our online version, does that mean that they're gonna see my essay as one big, ugly paragraph? Please tell me that's not true!

So after hitting submit i was taken to the supposed printable version of my app, but it's really crappy and unofficial looking and there's no option to print or anything...is that what we're supposed to print? I didn't get any kind of email with a link to a printable version like they said you should, but i only submitted yesterday and it seems like it takes some time... think its okay to just send in this version i already printed? its got everything on it.. i dont want to wait weeks to send in my app just cause they're disorganized.

personally i would wait a day or two and if the email doesn't come, print it and send. did you pay by credit card? because then you need the credit care receipt from the email to mail with your paper application. I never got a email with my first application and had to resubmit mine online, print it out, and send a check with it.

I checked the email they sent me to see if there was some sort of correlation btwn the link/your AMCAS # that I could post for you, but there isnt. Jut hold out, it took ~1 day for me to get mine at the start of things, and you certainly dont want them to be reading a crappy version of your app because why bother applying at all?

Thanks for looking anyway 🙂. I'll wait a few days. I just wondered if the link they email you takes you to the same crappy version. But it seems like no? I guess my question is, the form of your app that you see after you hit submit, is that the same thing you get from the link they send?
 
The email takes you to the exact same version you see after paying/submitting online.

The email for me came within 5 minutes after hitting submit. Keep in mind, I did this during 1AM.
 
So how long does it take to be complete. I know they have everything they need (picture, receipt, lor.... everything)... and they have had it for about 2 weeks but I have heard nothing from them. If I call just to make sure everything arrived they get upset and tell me that they dont check anything.. period. Somewhat frustrating...
 
hmmm i was complete i think maybe a few days after my last item was in. but those were LORs delivered via VirtualEvals so maybe those are processed quickly?
 
so this there a link to log in and check your status or review your submitted app online??
 
I think they said that they wil email you once ur file is complete.
 
I received the secondary 7/18 and submitted it by snail mail the same day. I didn't get a complete email until 8/7 so it would appear the turnaround time is ~3 weeks. Just be patient!
 
So the best way to communicate with these people is definitely through e-mail. They are monsters on the phone, but e-mail is magical. They responded in one day and even wished me luck! Now my application still isn't complete after a month... but whatever.
 
I am confused. How am I supposed to sign the bottom and certify?

I opted to send them a cheque in the mail, as they hate my credit card. Does this mean I should be sending my entire secondary in alongside it? I don't see any other way to certify.

Christ, AECOM has the absolute worst secondary system out there. So frustratingly worthless.

How long did it take for people to get notification of being complete? I submitted my secondary 7/28, mailed my paper application 8/2 (delivery confirmation says it was recieved) and VirtualEvals sent my LORs 8/4. I tried emailing them today and all I got back was "We will email you when you are complete."
 
It takes AECOM a while. I wouldn't worry so much. Give them 2-3 weeks to process things. They just finished doing the white coat ceremony and such for this year's class, so they can be a bit behind. If you're worried, I would suggest calling them. They were nice when I called. Just be respective and mindful that they are busy. GL!

It's already been over 3 weeks... but I suppose I'll just have to keep waiting...

I'm in the exact same boat, except my LORs were sent even earlier. I forgot to mail in my receipt and have called and e-mailed to see if that was a program, and they keep saying no. Still, I'm getting worried that something was lost. All they said was "we'll e-mail you if something is missing." Well its been a month!
 
I sent my app in on 7/21, LOR, 7/31, I was complete on 8/8. All in all it was only about a week. Maybe they just have more apps right now though. I wouldn't worry about it.
 
do u think it's a good idea to send additional LOR. I already have the committee letter. i'm a post-bac applicant and worked for several years in the industry (non-medical). do u think additional info would make my application stronger? my mcat score is between 25-29. sadly.

I'm in the exact same boat. I sent in my ap 7/24 and submitted Interfolio about the same time and still haven't heard anything! I'm going to risk calling them again. I'll let you know what happens.....
 
For the question-
I have taken off at least a year since college graduation

I'm not sure if I should answer this question. Maybe this is really basic, but it's been 4 years since I graduated from undergrad. After undergrad I did a masters and then a postbac, with no gaps in between, is that considered "time off" ?

Ok, so I called, and was told that they do not do status checks, but the lady was nice enough to log in and take a look. She told me that I am still not complete but she said she could not go through everything to find out what was missing. She was actually very nice and told me to give it another week. I'm a little worried because she couldn't find me by my AAMC ID and had to look me up by my last name - maybe this has something to do with it??? Like, my things got sent in, but they didnt match up to any ID number so they tossed it?

Ahhhhh...getting scared here....did my application get lost in transit? has interfolio failed me??? what is it??? 🙁

Thanks!!!!!!!! Ooh, good question. I have to email them some dates within a week. I have a hard time deciding because of having to miss classes and all that... and I'd like to do it ASAP, but I also want to make sure I'm up to date with some world news and the medical world 😛

I'll update once I settle on a date though :-D

btw they are pretty fast with responding. i emailed back the same day i got the invite and heard back within a few hours confirming the date.

I received an interview invite 2 days ago. I'm so excited!!!! :luck:

Is anyone interviewing on 9/15? Any recommendations on what I should brush up, besides the basics? Thanks!! Maybe I'll see some of you guys there =)
 
How did you guys schedule the interview? Did you just reply to the invite e-mail? Thanks.
 
yeah just replied, in the email they said to reply with available dates.
 
Finally after 6 weeks I'm complete!!!!! That took way too long. I wonder what took so long?
 
interview set for 9/29!!!!!! morning interview. anyone else? :-D:-D
 
anyone else still not complete??? I just called again and was told it's because they don't have my MCAT score yet.....even though i took it in June.
The ladies in the office were very nice though, but I dont think I should call AGAIN next week.

It took me over 6 weeks and that was with MCAT scores from last year, LORs and app sent out within 3 days of receiving the secondary... I wouldn't worry too much.
 
When you submit the application online, are you supposed to get a confirmation e-mail?

I did not pay online, I sent the check along with my completed application, photo etc. So when I submitted online I just got some "review" screen which I printed and sent out. Is that ok?
 
you dont actually submit online.. i think they acknowledge that you filled out an app, but you need to print it and mail it in
 
Finally got the complete Email. I submitted via priority mail on the 11th of August.
 
yikes. I haven't heard anything yet...

hey to all who got interviews, major congratulations, i'm so happy for you!

since i'm applying to this school as well (am in the process of completing the secondary), i was wondering if you guys wouldn't mind sharing what your stats were (gpa's, mcat) just to get a sense of what my chances are of getting an interview.....thank you!
 
Yay! Just got the invite today. October 9th is my top choice so I hope I get it. Stats: 32, 3.8(both science and overall)
 
wow, this is discouraging...people who are completed several weeks after me are getting interviews...I'm guessing that this is a silent rejection.
