So who is actually planning on attending Buffalo?
Shreya, I don't think you would have to take TOEFL since you graduated from US school, but you may want to confirm with admissions.
Got accepted last week, i'm so excited!
UB is Cheap
Buffalo is Cold
UB is Cheap!
😀
When did you interview?
When did you interview?
Congrats Farantino. I wouldn't change the status to dental student until you are officially enrolled.
hey guys..
I have an interview @ UB on 25th jan. I was looking at thier website and it said that any student whose first language is not english no matter where they graduate from are subjected to take TOEFL before enrollemnt...can any shed anymore light on that? i am Asian but i have been here for 5 yrs now and graduate from a university in US so does that apply for me as well?
Thanks in advance!
I'm going 🙂
There was some fretting over UB or UMDNJ, which was closer to my hometown of NYC, but UB is just more awesome.
I'll be shopping for snow boots soon ;-)
I know there probably won't be much time for dating, but does anyone know anything about the lesbian scene in Buffalo?
wuts next for us accepted people...
Any dats that I should be concerned about?
It should say on the acceptance letter. Mine was postmarked feb 12th, I had to get the deposit in by feb 29.for those of you that recently got accepted (in the past 2-3 weeks), when is your deadline for putting down a deposit?

I was in a 3/4, so I didnt have an interview per se this year.i don't have an acceptance letter so that's why I'm asking to find out when the recent batch of acceptances will expire and hopefully make some movement where they will send me an acceptance 🙂
I've heard they usually let you know real fast but unlike others in my interview bunch i'm still waiting to hear news.
p.s. when did you interview?
Did you all get your financial award letters?
Got the same amount. Not much for subsidized loans or perkinsI got mine yesterday, around 41300 per year so around 165k total. Pretty scary amounts of money.....

At least it's under $200K. Some of our colleagues are going to really suffer when it comes to repaying loans from private schools. They are going to suffer repaying those ridiculous loans at $5K a month. We won't have that heavy burden to repay each month. 👍
Yeah I definitely agree, we'll be ahead of like 90% of grads around the country financially, but 165k of loans is still a pretty scary for me, a 22 year old who has never had more than like 3k in the bank haha
and golfer - yeah I only got 8,000 in subsidized and 800 for perkins, so I'll be paying a lot of interest unfortunatly
