STILL "no decision"...

Just interview me and get it over with Drexel. You know you wanna 😀

my faculty didnt look at me once. my student took me to lunch and spent the entire time looking at his pizza. im so excited for an acceptance from here.

when did you interview and how long did it take to hear back?

Post interview reject here. Interviewed Nov 5th.

Not really surprised. Although I liked Drexel (I think it has potential to become one of the better, like top 20, medical schools), truthfully it was my last choice of the schools I was invited to for an interview.

should we march on the school and demand a decision????? question being, are we going to carry flaming torches and clubs OR stethoscopes and white coats?? I interviewed on Nov 11. Man, i really feel bad for the 14/15 week post interview guys.

wow talk about short notice....are you from the philly area?
congrats and good luck
Thanks!!!
next date was 03/11 - just got lucky. I'm currently drexel undergrad studen, but i'm ny resident.

so i just interviewed last week and my status already changed to "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel University."

i dont know if thats a good or bad thing that they got to it so quickly

That happens after you interview. It'll say something about a 'final decision has been made', then you'll get snail mail telling you the decision (accepted/waitlisted/rejected).

I had that status update after I interviewed in late Sept. then acceptance letter dated 10/19/09 ('decision made' a week before that)- but that's probably just because my interviewer reported to the committee shortly after the interview. Good luck!

How much "later in the season" will your application be reviewed, for those of us on pre-interview hold??

Is "no decision yet" the same as pre-interview hold at this point in the application season? :scared:

I don't know, I don't think so.

I went from "no decision" to "your application has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season"

Same here! So I think "no decision" means they haven't reviewed your application yet.

ok cool thanks, so does everyone get that same status update immediately after the interview or does it depend solely on when your interviewers give their evaluations to the admissions committee member

Does anyone know if Drexel accepts updates or letters of interest? I haven't heard anything from them at all since my application being complete and I'm concerned since it is getting to be later in the interview season. What is everyone else's experiences with this? I know they are notorious for taking a long time to get back to you. Thanks!

anyone send an update and had them respond to it? if so which email because they have a few.

finally got decision reached...interviewed nov 5th lol. we'll see what happens.

so today morning i got a status "A final decision has been reached and a letter will be mailed to your preferred address."

and also received a background check email request

does this pretty much mean I am either accepted or waitlisted?

Same thing, decision in the mail and background check. Anybody know if the background check is indicative of a acceptance or do they do it for waitlists or for everyone? I don't want to get too excited.....

wow, still no decision for me...has not even reached a reviewer (post int). Seeing everyone get a decision I was hoping I may actually get a change today.

I sent one in at the beginning of the month to [email protected]. I figured that was the most general admissions email out of all of them! Someone previously posted that they asked which one to send to and the Admissions office said anyone of the emails is fine.

Haven't gotten a response from it, some schools did reply saying that they'd put it in my file, but nothing from Drexel.

still no change for me, and i am 15 weeks post-interview (interviewed mid-october). my status still reads that my file is currently under review by a member of adcom and will be sent to committee shortly. is anyone else in the same boat? this is just ridiculousssssssss. i know that calling the admissions office doesn't provide any insight, so i don't know what to do anymore.

well 12 weeks for me, not to a reviewer yet, still says "your int has been sched"

Is the background check email a good sign?? Does anybody know what their policy is on who gets those???

Hey, so my status changed to that my application is being reviwed by the admissions committee (last week it was that it was under review by a member of the admissions committe). any idea how long it takes from this point on?

I also interviewed on the 16th and received the background email. If you look at the AMCAS site it appears that this time of year the only background checks being done are for accepted students so it sure looks like a good sign!

Based on what I've read on SDN, you get a background check email if you have been accepted or waitlisted by a school.

According to AMCAS, schools don't start doing background checks on the waitlisted students until may

http://www.aamc.org/students/amcas/faq/background.htm

After reading this do you guys agree?

yup yup, that's what it says! -- if you get a background check e-mail, you've got an acceptance somewhere! (WL people don't get bg checks between jan and may)

and starting in May, wait listed people will get background check e-mails

Not to mention the fact that I know someone who has been on the waitlist here for a while and hasn't received a CBC e-mail at all... not even when we received like 6 of them a few weeks ago. So, pretty good study control, I'd say 👍

Sounds like good news? Good luck!

this will be my first acceptance, I am psyched, don't want to celebrate till i see the actual letter from drexel

also how long did it take to get the certiphi email, cause i got the amcas email in the morning, but not the certiphi email

I haven't received the Certiphi email yet either...I can't get excited yet, I need that postman to drive as fast as possible to get me that letter!!

Haha congrats sounds awesome. Unfortunately it takes like 10 days after the decision has been made status to receive the letter via snail mail.

hey everyone,
I interviewed 10/26 so it's been almost three months (which is actually not the longest wait time after I scrolled through some of the posts)

does anyone know if rejections are decided faster than acceptances? (just crossing my fingers, considering how long I've been obsessively checking my drexel status online haha) how many of the accepted drexel people waited to hear back for at least 8 weeks?
