i got it from eduers.com, it seems pretty accurate but it's not an official website or anything so who knows? and it doesn't have all the schools, but it has most of them that ive wanted to know.

The numbers are accurate but they're old. Stats haven't changed much over the past 2 years but they have changed a bit. All the FL stuff is off though - we went from 4 MD schools to 6 for 2009 and this year there's 20 more seats at UCF, maybe a few more at FIU (rumors) and possibly more at Miami. Who knows what will happen.

The admissions numbers from eduers match The Princeton Review - Best 168 Medical Schools. Boo on TPR for having 2007 numbers in a "2009" book.
 
I think I was complete on 8/18. However, I only have "No decision is currently available" phrase. Anyone in the same situation?

I don't know how much I'd trust that website... I just looked up Stanford, and the website says that 0% of Stanford Med graduates were admitted to their first choice residency program. Now that has to be wrong...

For those who have not received a secondary...you're not alone

Anybody has any idea what's going on? Verified and Submitted AMCAS a month ago...
 
Just got an interview invite via status page. I am stoked! God is great. Goodluck to everyone who is still anxiously waiting. I was complete about a week ago.
 
anyone else having issues with fap? They say i need to email it but i did and they keep not getting it...sent it last monday and this is all tahts holding me up -_-...how long did it take them to verify ure fap for those that did and what email address did u use?

Same here! I was complete 8/18. Checked my status page and there was an interview. 🙂 :luck:
 
For the academic history section, do i only need to list the school where i'm receiving my degree from or all the schools i've attended, even if it was just for summer school?
 
I wonder if the holds here are as permanent as GW's 😏

ya me too. i sent it twice. You call them and they said they didn't receive any of them? i sent mine to: [email protected]
 
are they supposed to email us info about where to go for the interview, etc, or are they sending a snail mail about it?

yah i got the same thing...i sent 2 emails again to [email protected] and the medadmis one. Its sorta annoying as its holding us back...I sent 2 emails on monday hoping that by thursday or so things are ok.

How do you know your status was complete? All I have on my status page is that all my materials have been "submitted". Congrats on the interview!

I'm sure they'll send something, but it's easy to find. The medical campus is small and is at 2900 W. Queen Lane. There's a visiter lot for a fee, and street parking all over the place. The campus has just one main building, so you can't miss it. Just inside is the security desk where you sign in and they'll tell you where to go.

The closest hotels are the Hilton and Crowne Plaza on City Ave. There are also plenty of hotels downtown. The Queen Lane station is on the corner of campus, so you can take the regional rail if that's more convenient for you. Lastly, there's the Student Guest House near campus. You can contact the admissions office to find out more about it. It's very convenient. Also, there are student hosts available.

Your interview will either be on campus or downtown at the hospital. You'll find out who your interviewer is and where they're located when you arrive. If your interview is downtown, you'll take the free shuttle there and back.

On the status page, not the page where you found the secondary app but the page with the actual status of letters, payment, and app... in the middle there's a box called "Application Status" that goes from Incomplete to Complete when everything is in. It takes a few days for them to update though after you've submitted.
 
Correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like interviews are handed out like an NFL draft pick, high stats are first out of the gate, when in the heck are the 3.6/3.3 32's expecting interviews, I am getting nervous :scared:

That seems to be the trend, and some have confirmed it to be true (generally speaking), so I think we're okay right now.

Finally got my secondary today. Wrote, proofread, and submitted in less than 45 minutes after they sent me the email. My futile attempt to make up for the month delay in me receiving it 🙁
 
submitted secondary aug 13. not sure when i was complete. but got invite aug 31.

anybody else interviewing in the next month or so?
 
I am interviewing 10/19...and also was a rower in highschool and college! The greatest sport ever created.

My interview is on Oct. 14th. Where are you staying? How far is Drexel from the airport?
 
It is not close to the airport, but they give directions from the airport on their website if you stay in a hotel there.

I live in philadelphia so I am not much help in terms of good hotels, but there is an R8 stop right near the school. R8 is the regional rail line - go to septa.org for train times - also can get info on the R1 from the airport.

You'll get an email in a day or so if you havent already - if you click on the link they have info about places to stay as well as student hosting

I'm interviewing Oct 16th, haven't made travel arrangements yet though...
 
AMCAS verified 6/17....still no secondary. The woman answering the phone at admissions was very rude when I called to make sure they were still sending them out. Drexel, I give you two thumbs down. 👎 👎

My stats are below that and I got the interview invite today. I don't think they look solely at numbers when they descide on who they invite for an interview... although my EC's arn't all that impressive either. I'm a bit surprised I got an interview to be honest. It seems like they interview quite a lot of people compared to most schools so I'm guessing I just met their minimum requirements or something.

what are your stats if you don't mind me asking...
I'm 30/3.5 with good experience and I submitted early but haven't recd an invite

I rather not say my exact stats, but it's a bit lower than yours. I submitted my secondary the day I received it.
