It's about time i got my secondary!

AMCAS verified 6/9/2009
Secondary received 8/27/2009

I waited more than 2 months to get this thing!!! 4 weeks my butt!!!
 
For everyone that has submitted their secondary, check your status! I think the first round of invites is out! 🙂

Seriously congrats on the interviews everyone, but WTF? There are tons of people, verified very early who are waiting for a secondary, and they have already moved onto reviewing secondarys, and sending out invites? I have been trying to be patient waiting for my last app, but this is frustrating.

Once again, congrats to those who are interviewing. Don't want to take anything away from you.
 
If we have FAP, we don't have to worry about the application fee on our Drexel home page right?
 
I have a status message from Drexel saying "Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision."

I guess I'm on hold 🙁

Wow, I'm shocked at how quickly Drexel decided with the interviews. I JUST got my secondary today, guess I should turn this one in asap then.
 
Where does it give you the option to upload a photo on the secondary?

Haven't gotten any emails from Drexel. Just checked my status page though - "no decision" for me too. Submitted this bad boy on the 13th.
 
Well I got my app today, but I'm glad they're moving along and sending out invites. Really though, interview now, interview later, it's all good, as long as I get an interview.

Congratulations to everyone who got invites already.
 
Just got this secondary today and I was verified in June. And people are already getting interviews? WTF. Do they like send out secondaries alphabetically according to last name?
 
Judging by this thread, I am almost 100% sure Drexel sent out secondary invites in the reverse order of primary completion! lol

eh, it's a quickie though and even if you're just now getting it, you're still on the early side of the app process.

I feel ya. I got an interview from Drexel, but I'm in that exact position with Penn State. People who got verified after me have been marked complete and gotten invites - and I'm still not even complete. This process makes no sense sometimes!

how's the diversity of the student body at drexel? the fact sheet says that avg age is 23 yrs old right? what about races and other interests?

Thanks! One more question. Were you part of the class that had the essays at interview time or whatever? I think that's been mentioned previously on this thread and I was wondering what to expect for that.

Still no secondary here... I just e-mailed them this morning to see what was going on.

the thing from the aamc website that says congrats balh blah and lists your name and amcas ID on it. I emailed it to the normal [email protected] or w/e that general email address is...though i did it 3 days ago and it still did not reflect they got payment yet...making me a little irritated since its holding me back from a decision.

secondary marked complete: Aug 27th

glad someone postd to check my drexel banner account since ya they didn't send me an email but did give me an interview. CRAZY! Anyone else going on the 30th?
Btw, for those of you JUST receiving 2ndaries the turnaround time is crazy fast. I submitted my secondary on the 18th and I assume the interview invite came yesterday as per other posts on here!!

Are they giving you guys a choice of interview dates?
 
Yes. They give us an online calendar up until Oct/Nov (I forget) and you can select the date you want. Haven't chosen mine yet though...

I have also scheduled an interview on the 30th. I didn't receive an e-mail about it either - just a status update when I randomly checked. I was just trying to tell myself not to look at the stati too often, but this is obviously not going to help with that! :spam:

We've got a whole lot of diversity.

Age: Youngest in my class (Class of 2012) was 19 at orientation, and the oldest one is pushing 40. An average of 23 sounds about right.

Race: Everything. Indians are very well represented, lots of Whites, Asians, and a good mix of African American and Latino students as well.

Interests: Very diverse. Lots of athletes, people into service/volunteering, musicians, theater-types, etc. There are many different student groups on campus and you shouldn't have any trouble finding people with similar interests to your own.

Last year was the first year they did an essay at the interview, but I'm an MS-2 so I never experienced it.

From what I've seen on last year's thread, it's not something to stress over. It's not timed, and you have the whole day to finish it.
 
After you guys paid the application fee online with the credit card, did you guys instantaneously have your status page updated saying payment submitted?

I submitted my fee 3 days ago and have received a receipt (with reference #, etc.) at the end of payment process on the web, but my status page still says payment non submitted online.

Did that happen to you guys? Is there supposed to a delay in registering my payment? Or an error?

hey for those people that got interviews, do you know if they recommended any hotels or anything? because they sent an e-mail saying they've given us that information, but i didn't get anything.. i'm somewhat confused now
 
I called them today to ask them WTF is going on with this secondary (of course I said it nicely). The lady told me they are sending them out in batches and I asked batches of 5 or what? And she said don't worry, you'll get one...

grrrrr.... I want one already!!!🙁:scared::idea:

Same boat, called today also. Said the EXACT same thing. This is redic.

The two closest hotels are the Hilton and the Crowne Plaza on City Ave. There are also plenty of hotels downtown in Center City. Lastly, there's the student guest house near campus, and you can probably call the admissions office to find out more about it.

Does anyone have the MSAR for this year?

If so, could you please post the acceptance & matriculation data for last year's class (applied, interviewed, matriculated for out of state)?
