Congratulations I am extremely jealous right now... when did you interview/when did your status page change to a decision has been made? if you dont mind..
It doesn't mean that all hope is lost, but it does mean that they've passed over your application for the time being. It is definitely not impossible to receive an interview after a pre-interview hold.

I interviewed at Drexel on Oct. 5th. I OOS and I think my interview went well. The only deal is that my MCAT verbal is low, it's a seven. Do you guys think that the admissions committee will still factor that into decision making even though I passed their initial screening???

You're probably safe now that you've passed the initial screening and gotten an interview, but nobody can tell you for certain. Good luck.

I also have a 7 in verbal and I had my interview here on Oct. 15th. Try not to worry about it though. You did your best and they must have looked past that 7 in order to offer you an interview.
If you don't mind sharing the date of your interview, I am extremely curious as to how long it takes for the decision to be made. I know, I was told to wait six weeks, seems awfully long. Congratulations on your acceptance 🙂 Thank you in advance.

The "final decision has been made" status appeared about 8-10 days after my interview. I really don't know the exact date on that (sorry!) But I do know that it depends on who interviews you and when they report to the Committee...

I was under the impression your interviewer added his/her evaluation to your file and then a member of the adcom who has never met you reviews everything and then reports to the committee... or something like that. I don't know lol tomorrows Thursday though so the committee meets(i think), hopefully I'll get a change on my status page AND in a few weeks an acceptance

I was under the impression your two interviews (student and faculty) and the essay you wrote on the day of your interview are put together and then a person evaluates you based on that and makes their independent decision. That along with your initial file are talked about at the committee meeting and then they make a final decision that is mailed to you, but who really knows what goes on behind closed doors ...
My status has been "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly..." for more than a week now. I interviewed on 9/21. Anyone else in the same boat? What's the holdup?

I interviewed monday. They said it would take about 6 weeks so I really would not start worrying...

i had that status last week. this week it's slightly different...

i interviewed 10/6. it looks like they're going to make my final decision very soon!

Does anyone know if Drexel usually takes the full 6-8 weeks to send out the final decision letter, or is it usually shorter or longer? I interviewed here a little over a week ago and my status has not been updated since then. I am just a bit anxious to find out since this is the earliest I'll hear back from any of the schools I will or have interviewed at.
Accepted, I: 9/17, status change 10/09 (or so), letter was dated 10/19.

Nope, not yet. I am starting to feel as though my mailman is my arch-nemesis.

Has anyone else's status change to "A final decision has been reached and a letter will be mailed to your preferred address" that interview last week. Because mine just changed either today or yesterday (nor really sure) and I interviewed on October 16th.
make it 0-2 for the west coasters. i thought the interview went great...guess not.
really hmm I interviewed before you and my status recently changed to your application is under review by admissions committee no decisions has yet been made. i wonder if thats a bad thing hmm
