Interviewed on 10/19, so its been 6 weeks since interview and still have the same "please allow 6-8 weeks for a decision" status...which I guess means still hasn't been even looked at by reviewer/committee. Anyone have any idea why people with later interviews are being sent to committee earlier?

I doubt anyone would know the answer to that. But if for some reason someone does, I'd love to know the reason! I'm almost on week #8 with that same status.
 
So I submitted my secondary way back in September, and my status page still says there has been no decision. What does this mean?
 
interview at drexel on Nov. 16th, yesterday my status changed to under review by committee

so should i expect that they will make a decision this Thursday or its way too soon?

Not too sure, but I have the same status as well (complete early September). Hang in there!

hmmm interesting. I interviewed the same day you did and my status was changed to sent to committee almost 2 weeks ago....what a mystery.
 
Could anyone give a little insight/advice regarding the essay questions during the interview? Thanks!

heres the best advice for it, dont even worry or think about it😉. Seriously its informal, nothing to worry about and theres usually 4 different prompts, usually something ethical but fairly standard. You cant prep for it nor should you so really the best advice is forget about it and relax and enjoy the day at drexel. 🙂 You have all day to write it and way more time then is needed. No one really stressed about it on my day and everyone can talk about it even if you wish.

Pretty good. Nothing from this school yet. I am still waiting from UCF. I will find out on the 8th. From what I was told they are going to select 5 students from the November 2nd and November 20th interview dates. Didn't you interview on the 2nd? I guess we going to find out about the UCF decision on the same date. I am really hoping to get in.

Dogster: I just got an interview invite from Drexel today, and like you my application has been complete since mid-Sept. The earliest dates available are in February, though. I guess they are just really slow at reviewing apps!
 
Does anyone know if we are required to bring along a specific ID on interview day? Like a passport or anything?
 
does anyone know if the admissions committee is meeting today? i interviewed on 10/20 and my status has been the same for 3 weeks : no decision has been made, being reviewed, and so on and so forth
 
Sooo I had my interview and I'm a little worried seeing as how he (the faculty interviewer) didn't write a single thing down the entire time and neither did my student interviewer. Did everyone elses interviewers write anything down at all??:scared: how will they remember me?!

mine did the same...however this was the worst interview ive had of 7 and im 100% going to get rejected. Things just went horrible not sure how everything went so bad i guess just a bad matchup.
 
My status has been "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University" for about a month now. I'm not sure if I should call or what.

Mine didn't write anything down either, but I thought it went really well. I'm guessing they don't write while interviewing you to make you more relaxed so you don't feel like you're being judged every time they go to write something [even though you are :laugh:]. They probably take notes immediately after you leave the room.

My interviwer loss track of time and went over by like 30 min so he had to rush to get the next guy in not sure how he could have written anything down, i thought it went well though i think?
 
My status changed the day after I interviewed to "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University". Is that speed a good sign- as in can I actually dream of hearing a response before winter break? I saw a poster above having that status for up to a month.. is there a general timeline after you see that message?

Wow, def beat me. I think you would be safe to give them a call since you are past the 8week mark. What is unfortunate is with winter break coming, we may not see anything until mid Jan at least.
 
I interviewed today and think that both interviews went really well. I even received a hug from the faculty member at the end of the interview which was very touching. However, I checked my status on Ducom website and it has been changed from "..interview scheduled.." to "Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision. " Isn't it a pre-interview hold status? Why am I receiving this message?

Hey! I interviewed today too and thought it went well. That's weird though, I checked my status and it still says "Your interview has been scheduled". Though honestly I can't imagine they could have reviewed your stuff in time to put you on hold? Maybe you should ask them?
 
I don't even think they can put me on hold after the interview. They can only reject, accept or waitlist me. My guess is someone has made an error in updating my status. At least this is what I want to believe right now. I'll call them tomorrow to clarify...really bothers me though

I wouldn't worry guys. Probably just something funky with the system. The committee only meets on thursdays. So I wouldn't start freaking out until friday. 😛

I interviewed today as well. I thought it went pretty well, but it didn't seem like my faculty interviewer even peeked at my app before the interview. So we spent a good chunk of time on stuff like spelling out the name and location of the hospital I work at and what classes I took during my junior year. Good times.

Friday two months from now? 🙂 According to this forum, we'll have to wait and wait and wait...Especially if we consider the upcoming holidays

I think I know who you are. I think we took the shuttle together and the same guy interviewed us both.
 
Yeah that's me. Sorry for keeping you waiting today haha.

At this point, it's out of our hands. All we can do is wait.
So, I don't plan on sweating this until the 8 week mark. It's not worth the frustration. I was just saying that, at the very least, I'd hold off on the freaking out until this friday because that's the earliest you could possibly expect a status update from the committee.

But fyi, my status is still: Your interview has been scheduled. If you've appeared for the interview, please allow 6 - 8 weeks for a final decision.
 
I interviewed on Oct. 5th, and my status says that its being reviewed by a committee member and well be sent to admissions committee shortly. No decision has been made... I don't even know what this means but it's been over two months now and I'm totally sick of waiting..
 
I have not been invited to interview and my status has been "No decision is currently available. Please continue checking this website for updates." since August. I just randomly checked now and in requirements part of the the Application Summary window it shows that a Personal Essay was received Dec 07, 2009. I am not sure what to make of this or what this is even about...? I would call and ask tomorrow but they don't seem to like it very much when people call about their status so any thoughts or advice is appreciated.

Don't know 😕😕😕 My requirements section doesn't even have "Personal Essay". What was your status on the summary page? was it complete or incomplete?

Called today and was told to ignore the status..

Did you status just recently change to this after 2 months? I wonder if those of us who have long waits post interview had the same interviewers.
 
Interviewed this past weekend and today I had a status change to the "Your file is currently under review by a member of the admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly." Really wish we could make sense of these status changes/if they mean anything/if they indicate any type of time frame.
 
These time frames are totally wack. 8+ weeks and my file hasn't even been handed to a reviewer yet. The only explanation I got when I called this morning was that it's "the holidays". It wasn't "the holidays" in friggen october (unless for some reason they have some crazy long ass halloween party over there...)!
 
Complete since August. There was never a Personal Essay until it just appeared yesterday.

I feel like they just blow us off when we call the admissions office. I was told last month that they didn't meet for two Thursdays in a row, then a third time I was told it was the holidays. Yet, throughout these three weeks people were getting decisions based on posts on SDN. There needs to be a little more transparency in their process. There seem to be a lot of people on this forum that would agree.
 
Does anybody know where most students get housing in the Philadelphia area Center city, east falls, etc. and which areas should be avoided?
