I apologize if this has been covered, but I've been complete since 10/1 and haven't heard a peep from Drexel. Does anyone know how they respond to status check phone calls? I sent an email a couple days ago and haven't gotten a response. I figure I'll probably just wait a while before calling...but gosh, it's been 10 weeks.

Yes, it is all quite baffling. I was complete sometime late August, and "no decision currently available". This seems to be the norm. In fact, I am so used to waiting that I would feel out of sorts if a school responded quickly.🙄

I feel your pain.

when ive called ive always got nothing out of it. You could try calling but dont get your hopes up. Probably will get the we are reviewing your app and will let you know when something changes response. They do accept updates, no idea if that will help but it certainly cant hurt.
 
how do u send the updates? which email address have u been using elijah? have they said they received them? do you call to confirm?
 
does anyone know if the committee is meeting today? i promised myself i wouldn't get neurotic but it has been over 8 weeks since my interview....waiting is too hard!

I certainly hope so. They definitely won't be meeting next week, and I'm going to guess that they won't be meeting on the 31st either.

hey saqrfaraj do you know how friendly they are to in the area e-mails? and I know you talked about it earlier but do they like update letters?
 
thanks so much for all of your help...i hope i get a status update or something...have been in the "currently being reveiwed" status for a while now.
 
would we see a status change today? or would it be tomorrow if we were? I am in the rereview department as well!!!

o by the way does drexel reject ppl? Wondering because of the hold status. could be slightly better if they do outright reject ppl
 
not sure when we will hear. just want to know something....been a long time since my interview and my anxiety is getting the best of me
 
Those that have received any snail mail/online status changed to 'decision has been made' post interview recently, when did you interview?

Has anybody who interviewed 2nd week of Nov heard anything back yet besides the 'out for review' status?

I interviewed 2nd week of Nov, but I'm still under review.
 
first week of november interview and still under review by committee member, hasn't been sent to commitee :idea:🙁
 
oh okay.

interviewed 2nd week of nov and still under review by committee member but not submitted to committee. it may take longer than the usual '6-8 weeks' due to the Holidays...

I have seen your posts in many threads and was impressed by your MCAT score. Hopefully we will hear something from them after holidays.

I got the final decision status today after 8 weeks... I hope its good news!
 
My application also denoted that I will be re-reviewed later in the admissions cycle...

For those of us in this position, do we have any realistic shot of actually being granted an interview or am I holding out for false hope...
 
deep breath...didn't get a status update yesterday...have people gotten them on fridays? if not, i will just stop thinking about it until february, since there are a ton of holidays coming up. i saw a few people who got updates but interviewed after me.
 
yeah im not expected anything from Drexel until the new year🙁
 
I just checked my status and this is what it reads:

"Thank you for applying to Drexel University. A letter will be mailed to your preferred address with status information."

I'm assuming I'll be getting a rejection in the mail? I've been complete since late August/early September. Called them a few times, sent in an update letter as well. Does anyone know if they give interview invites via mail or is that done only through email?
 
Got the silent rejection (re-eval at a later date) status today after waiting since aug to hear something. I hope I'm wrong about that this year but as a reapp and sdn reader, many of us had hopes last year that it would turn into an invite later - not a single person got one from that status tho. O well, not too disappointed about this one...

Status finally changed today, now it reads "Your file is currently under review by the admissions committee. No decision has yet been made regarding your admission status to Drexel of University."

I guess its been finally been sent to adcom!

i got an interview invite last tuesday guys...been under review since mid september.

scheduled it for the 1st day possible (feb 15) but i probobly will cancel since i got into a better school

nah i think theyre the same.

dont worry though because they still have half of february adn almost all of march to do interviews.

I believe they are different. I had the "no decision" since September that just switched to the "Thank you for your application. Your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated later in the season for a final decision. "

I also think (and hope) other posters are wrong. Being that people on this thread already stated they received "snail mail" messages pre-intereviews (I'm guessing this are rejections 🙁 ) this "rereview" status must been they're not rejecting us at this point.

Any ideas? 😕

Okay, I'm a few cycles removed from the application process, but this might help some of you make sense of the status messages. Forgive me if there are some in-between statuses that I'm forgetting. It's been a while.

Pre-interview message "Letter will be mailed" = rejection
Pre-interview message "Re-review later" = hold

Once you've had your interview, you will get a few different status messages:

Thank you for scheduling your interview -> Under review by a member of the ADCOM -> Under review by the committee -> Decision reached, letter mailed

This can culminate in a rejection, acceptance or waitlist.

"Under review by a member of the ADCOM" means a single person is looking over your application and they will present it to the committee later.

"Under review by the committee" means that your application has reached the committee room and they'll look over and vote on it.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know if an interview can happen from the hold status? From past threads it seems this is unlikely.
