I have an interview scheduled for february 15 (this monday) that i am about to cancel. I will do it at 3:50 and if you sign in you should be able to get it.


February 15th--this monday!!!!!!!!

I just checked my status, and got the same response...

I'm just wondering, does everyone who doesn't get an interview get a hold, or are some people actually flat out rejected

basically is there any hope of getting off the hold, I guess I'll be sending a letter of intent, but I have absolutely no updates to add... I'm 2 years out of school, and have just been spending my time working these past couple of months

I'm in the same boat! I haven't sent in any LOI because of this very reason (nothing to add) I'm sure they get plenty of letters saying how everyone wants to to go to their school. At least your status changes, mine still says 'no final decision'
 
I have an interview scheduled for mid March but I am not sure if it is worth going to. I am into a school I like, and I do not want to spend $500 interviewing for a spot on their waitlist. That being said, I like Drexel and would have a hard time choosing between it and my current acceptance. Does anyone have an idea if their class is full? Could I call the admission office and ask them, or does that send a bad message?

When did you get invited to interview? I was invited in mid-December, and the earliest I could schedule my interview for was last week. I doubt that the class is full right now if they're still working on interviewing people who were invited in December. However, I have no real information on how many people have been accepted yet, so this is just my opinion and it might not be relevant if you received your invitation recently.

interviewed early dec. finally they changed my status. fingers crossed. i wonder how much longer till 'final decision has been reached'

It took me about a week to reach final decision, but some ppl on here have listed up to 5 weeks. Good luck
 
got a final decision notice today and no background check e-mail, but I didn't get the status until way late this afternoon! I really hope I get accepted and that I'll be getting the e-mail sometime this week!!

I got my interview invite last week. I am tempted to just call the office and ask if the class is full, but I am concerned that 1) They wont tell me and/or 2) It will come off sounding like I am not interested enough in their school to interview for the waitlist.
 
i interviewed in october and my status is still: "your file is under review by a member of admissions committee and will be sent to committee shortly...." it is february now. this is completely ridiculous. i have tried calling and was told that my file would be sent to committee at the next meeting, but that was at least a few weeks ago. is anyone in the same boat? i don't want to bug the people at the office, because i know they probably don't know much more than i do, but i am beginning to get worried/lose my patience.

Just had my final decision status change today interviewed 12/4 Didn't receive a background check email either I'm scared eek!! Let's hope for the best!!

I wonder if the delays are caused by the committee or the interviewer. Those who had to wait ~ 15 wks for their decision, could u post the name of the person who interviewed you? Let see if we can figure this out.

I'm in a similar situation, in that I interviewed on December 5 (at 11 weeks), and I still have the status of being reviewed by a committee member. I was at the committee level, but then I was bumped back a couple of weeks ago. I called up the Admissions office last week, and they said that I was "right on track," but that the committee has just become back-logged with applicants to review. I don't think it has to do with the interviewers themselves. I think it is the committee. Although, I agree that 15 weeks is absolutely ridiculous, and really, it's almost disrespectful to the applicant. I am annoyed at 11 weeks, so I can't even imagine being at 15.

It took 15 weeks for my acceptance and I'm under the impression that it might of have been because of my interviewer. I interviewed on the second day of interviews back in September. At the time, I'm sure the committee could not have been backed up with decisions since it was so early in the application season. My interviewer worked in Hahnemann Hospital and seemed to be a very busy doctor there.
 
I interviewed 01/19 and my status is:
"Your interview has been scheduled. If you've appeared for the interview, please allow 6 - 8 weeks for a final decision."

Does this mean that they didn't start reviewing yet? Also, does anybody know if the class is full already (that what I hear in some other schools)?

i don't think so (i've been watching for comments like that- i've been on hold for re-review for a few months)
i hope i'm wrong though.....has drexel actually rejected anyone pre-interview yet?
 
So I remember on my interview day that they said that the wailist here was ranked.
Does anyone know if there is anyway to find out what our rank is? And also - does anyone know what the waitlist movement is like at Drexel?? (In other words...any idea how many people get accepted off of the waitlist each year and when Waitlist movement begins??)

I remember on my interview the woman specifically said that Drexel doesn't tell applicants what their rank is on the waitlist even though a lot of other schools do.

Yes. Anyone who has received the "a decision has been reached" status prior to getting an interview. There have been at least a few of those posted here in the thread.

it seems as though it takes about 2 months to get a final decision made after your interview
 
They've made a terrible mistake. Looks like I'm going to doctor college after all.
 
I hear that there doctor college can be mighty troublesome, with all the required book learnin' and what not.
 
Just checked status and decision letter has been mailed!

Interviewed December 8th.

I'm a little nervous since no background check email in my inbox so far...

Just thought I'd let you know, I interviewed on 12/3, had a status change to decision made/letter mailed on 2/4 and just received an acceptance packet yesterday. I have not received the background check email yet, so I wouldn't worry too much if you haven't either.

How long did it take for your status to change from Interview Scheduled to Under Review?
 
I think my status changed to under review by a committee member about a week after my interview, and two days later my application was under review by the committee. I sat at the committee for a few weeks before they reviewed it and made a decision. It seems like the timing of status changes here is really variable and so I wouldn't read too much into it. Good luck!

Yea im in the same boat...I interviewed 1/11 and my status still says "Your interview has been schedules...."...oh man:scared:

I interviewed on the 9th too, got sent to committee yesterday. I'll wait as long as it takes if it's for a YES!!!
 
Has anybody thats on the waitlist try contacting the admin office or the dean about their chances?
 
Has anyone heard anything yet about Drexel's second look weekend and when it might be?

Or do they even do a second look per se?
 
So my letter is in the mail... wondering if it will come today. Quite anxious! Hoping for GOOD NEWS. I interviewed 12/7 and my site was updated Friday that a decision had been reached and a letter sent.
 
6 Weeks post interview...."You interview has been scheduled, if you atended...."...Anyone else have this same message for so long?! It's very difficult to not get frustrated

I had it for 16 weeks...I would kick back and not stress over it at the moment.
 
Got the "Your file will be re-evaluated later in the season..." status today. Oh well...
