did anyone receive acceptance today??? as of now, i havent heard back from duke yet, not even email. I interviewed in their last week of interview so maybe i won't hear back till the end of the week??? I'm assuming if I dont get the letter in my mailbox after I got home from work today, I am getting a rejection email tomorrow.

Inverviewed Yesterday 9 am. Rejected today 9:53 Am, a whole 24 hours, wow.
Me too! If they don't say WL in the email, I assume full out rejection. Glad I didn't spend $ to fly there now

Yeah, my faculty interview went pretty terribly. It was my first. But i'm sure it was my numbers that really did me in.
Waitlisted. Is there really no way we can find out our place on the waitlist? The email says not to call them about it, but I wonder if that is just to deter a giant storm of calls today? I would really like to go to Duke, but I am getting really sick of waiting so I would rather only stay on the waitlist if there is a reasonable possibility...

Seems like last year more people got the WL email and less people got the rejection email........maybe they decided to WL less people this year?

Yikes, rejected. Guess I can't be stunned.. I doubt I made it past the interview cut-off. Legitimately bombed one of them, but I thought with all the people posting how they thought they bombed, I might have an outside chance. Didn't feel like Duke was a good fit anyhow, but it'd be nice to get something other than straight rejections since the new year. I'm starting to worry I'll get my acceptances rescinded if those schools find out how my cycle's been going lately and realize "What the heck were we thinking?" I really do feel lucky I got one early.

i think waitlist emails went out around 9:20-9:25 and rejections at 9:55ish

Waitlist for me in the Pacific Northwest, I received the email at 6:15am this morning. Interviewed in the beginning of February. What do you all thing our chances of getting in from the waitlist pool are? Is there any way that we can find out what our rankings are?
I meant more my cGPA, but my MCAT is certainly lower than most/all of the people accepted so far that have their stats posted in mdapps. But I really did BOMB my faculty interview 🙂

i interviewed on 2/15, which was their last on-campus interview week. i dont think the time frame matters anymore. Someone posted he/she got rejected today and his/her interview was yesterday! i cant wait to get of work today so i can check my mailbox. i got waitlisted by Duke last yr so i really wanna make it thru this time.
where do you live? maybe the mail just hasn't gotten there?
i live in Baltimore. Someone in DC posted he/she already got the letter yesterday.
Does anyone know how they feel about letters of interest from people on the waitlist? Some schools pretty much require them if you want to be accepted off the waitlist (e.g. Georgetown, Wake Forest), but Duke doesn't seem to care so much about our interest in the school. Is our position on the waitlist pretty much fixed and unchangeable at this point?
Waitlisted... regional interview on 2/2, visited Duke on 2/10.
I really hope to get in to Duke. I think I've only gotten more and more excited about it as time passes.

The wait list email specifically states that you have been placed on the wait list.
it's very clear it's a waitlist spot. here is the first paragraph:
.The Faculty Committee on Admissions has completed interviewing and evaluating all of our candidates for admission to the 2010 entering class. You have been assigned a place on our wait list. We were enormously impressed with your scholarly achievements and experiences both of which demonstrate your potential as a future physician. Therefore, we sincerely hope you will accept this position..

Rejected, haha. In a way I'm glad it's not a waitlist because Duke's curriculum has been really hard for me to gauge if I like it or not. Good luck to everyone on the waitlist, and congrats to those accepted!

A while ago, I spoke to R. Wallace and he told me that they like update letters from people on waitlist. I didn't ask about additional letters of rec but someone singing your praises can't hurt yea?
do you think they sent ALL the WL and rejections today tho? I d like to hope to be accepted...so far no email, no mail and I live in PA...someone has already been accepted in PA...keeping faith and trying not to give up hope...

this process is so weird. just looking at the mdapps of some of the accepted ppl. ive gotten interviews at many of the places those ppl were rejected. not that they dont deserve it, but i dont see how these decisions are made
