Finally complete today... submitted 8/27. Maybe we'll all get a consolation interview for waiting so long.
hmm . . . although i submitted a primary, i was having second thoughts about doing the secondary. Emory is a definite reach for me. but the above quote does make me feel better.
is it worth it? do i have a shot in hell?

hey guys. for everyone who submitted over 2 weeks ago and are still waiting for a complete email, i just called the admissions office and they said that the wait time is now 3 weeks because of the volume of applications that they've received. however, if you don't hear back a couple days after the 3 week mark, give them a call to see what's up.
i submitted 8/26, and still waiting... the lady was very friendly and said i should be getting something by the middle of next week.
But instead they backed up the ones that arrived first and started processing new arrivals as they came. It's like the INS.
mine was completed today too, I didn't call them or anything. So I guess it will happen for the rest of you...eventually.
same here, was finally verified a few minutes ago (no calls on my part).
Should I submit my secondary to Emory with a 3.3cGPA and 29Q MCAT or is it a waste of my time and $100? Opinions are welcome...
I mean, I'm debating whether it's a waste of time and money for me, especially this late in the cycle.
You should definitely apply! It is not as late as SDN makes it seem. Especially for Emory, which posted the secondary only a month ago. I applied to Pritzker a week ago and just got an interview invite, so its never too late if you are a good candidate and fit for the school.

emory already has 4000 applicants, you are late by any standardsYou should definitely apply! It is not as late as SDN makes it seem. Especially for Emory, which posted the secondary only a month ago. I got an invite today, for a really crappy day, maybe if I get into some other schools on the 16th I will cancel this interview.
just got my invite, sooo excited! i'll have to reschedule the day though, does anyone know what days of the week they do interviews?

to make the long story short, i just got complete 10/9. 4.0/34Q. I know it's getting late in the cycle (and apparently many people have been invited for interviews already), but what do yall think about my chances at emory?
thanks
This thread is pretty short so I feel like maybe that many interviews haven't gone out. Maybe?
have interviewed at 7 top 25 schools.. emory was one of my two favorites, the other being vandy. grady hospital seems like a great place for clinical experience (hands on exp) as a medical student. it is hardcore--you will see, the complete opposite of the northwestern hospital. the students seemed way down to earth compared to other schools of a similar caliber--zero arrogance and the P/F grading means they party. the facilities are very nice. and ATL is legit. panel interview seemed incredibly short--30 minutes means 10 minutes per interviewee. obviously if you're interested in the MPH this is a great place to do it. there is pretty good student housing within a very short bus ride of the medical school. i definitely would recommend getting a student host they were very nice. they are sponsored by coke so be prepared to drink a lot of it.so.. how have the interviews been going to so far. im going on the 19th. so i was wondering if someone could share their experiences? 🙂
interview invite! complete 9/23...anyone else interviewing on 11/13?
Anybody interviewing October 30th? I'm really excited, but also getting nervous.
For those who have already interviewed, would you mind sharing your experiences/impressions?
