I see that the School Psych program at Kent has posted, but has anyone heard from the Clinical (child track) Ph.D. program?

Oh, it's not your information that is ominous...but rather the idea that so many people have sent her information regarding invites that her mailbox is now full. Busy day of invites....and I didn't get any is all...lol 😳
 
I received an invitation this afternoon via email for an interview with Northeastern's School Psychology, PhD program. The email was from the director of the School Psychology program.

Also, the interview will be held on February 19th.

Hey, Remember that Feinberg was giving applicants until Jan. 8th to get GRE scores in...it may be a little while until we hear from them.
 
I apologize if this has already been answered, but has anyone heard anything from the Clinical Program at Ohio University?

Don't forget that sent messages count towards your quota, too - I had to go through and delete a ton from there, too.

By the way, received invite number 10 today🙂--which is nice, but will make it suck all the more if I end up getting rejected across the board. 🙁

Would still love if the person who received the Yale invite could PM me. I'll even make it super easy for you - if your POI was Susan Nolen-Hoeksema, can you just PM "yes," and if it wasn't, could you PM "no?" 😀

Yikes -- is it 100% certain the Duquesne invite was for the school psychology program?
 
Could the University of Tennessee-Knoxville Clinical people PM me their POI? Looks like they're starting the process of sending out invites too....

just wondering why it says more invites to go out later for Suffolk. Is this certain?

Apparently, someone called and the admissions people said the invite list/email accidentally got sent out early and didn't have all the names on it.

I guess that depends upon how you look at it. : )

From a getting-your-hopes-up point of view, yes, I can completely understand your position. You see yourself as being that much closer to the golden ticket.

But, I cannot help feeling MORE rejected by the universities that do not even offer me an interview than by those that interview me and then choose not to extend an offer.

As I see more and more of the schools that I applied to on this thread but have not heard from, I cannot not help humming "Another one bites the dust." ...oh well. I guess you have to have a sense of humor in order to survive this process.

Also, for people interested in DePaul....I did not apply to a specific person per se for that program. I just included a short list of people I was interested in, since a lot of the faculty are interested in the same general topic I am interested in. ( I did this, because, when I emailed a POI there before, I received an email saying that DePaul does not follow a strict mentor model. I think this means they accept a group of students first and then it's the student responsiblity to gravitate toward a professor afterwards.)

I hate to ask, but me too. I'd be willing to say my POI if you don't want to give yours.

It's definitely important to note that the integrity of this list depends on the integrity of the posters. While I believe 99% of you are awesome and completely honest, a person who's notified me of two invites has seemed sort of sketchy (PM me if you want to know the schools). Again, they could be legit, so this isn't 100%, but my gut feeling about the situation just wasn't good, FWIW.Also note that most of the info is cross-collaborated by multiple posters independently PMing me, so there's that for a check.

Hey, celebrate! Everyone's list, goals and number of invites/acceptances will differ.

Also, just because a place hasn't formally extended invites and someone claims they got one, or something seems sketchy, doesn't mean it is. When I applied, several of my POIs offered me interviews and offers before they hit "the list".
 
I would love to know the POIs on the WVU, UMSL, and UNT invites, if those people feel up to PMing me.

From what I know of schools like this (and yes, DePaul doesn't have a strict mentor model), the way it works is they accept a group of students each year, then after they come, they submit their preferences and are assigned someone to work with. You wouldn't be accepted by a specific person; the faculty would decide as a whole since any one of them could be your mentor.
 
Ah UMSL is earllllyyyy could the two people that heard from UMSL please message me their POIs OR message me and I will say my POIs, whichever 🙂

That is good to know about Suffolk as it states on the website that they wouldn't let anyone know until mid February with an interview weekend in early March. I have my fingers crossed!!

It doesn't bother me. Congrats to you. You are obviously doing something right, and I hope in the end that you are admitted to your top program.
