I got my first interview invite yesterday. I was surprised that it came by mail, since most programs seem to call or email.
I'm wondering if this week will bring more activity from sites. After Thanksgiving it's December already.
Has anyone heard from any sites in New England yet?
That sucks about the economy - I saw the APPIC bulletin and immediately felt bad for people who applied to those sites. 🙁
To add to the list of places that have sent some invites, University of Chicago and NYU
I'm still waiting, but at least no rejections yet...
Hey, tfc, I am interning at a site and got to see the applications that came in. 90 percent did not have their match ID numbers on the AAPI. Most people do not know this, but your match id number actually pops up when the site enters your name for their rankings. In short, you definitely do not need to proactively contact each site and give it your match number. I would just wait until you actually interviewed there
Arg!
I'd like to just know where I have interviews, and where I do not. I am not a fan of this "waiting" thing. 😀
That's great! CongratsJUST got my first interview!!!! Need to get a flight out to CA in the next week....but in my excitement I didn't ask which airport is closest! Ugh.
All right! Who is ready for Monday? Showtime, folks! Good luck all...
Nice!!Just got word from Boston Consortium!
Nice!!
I haven't heard anything from them yet.....doh! Did they just contact you?
Yeah, and it was for the medical psych rotation.
Congrats!
I'm waiting to hear from them as well... how did they contact you? email or phone?
Received a rejection from Brown this morning...
Yeah, and it was for the medical psych rotation.
My advisor has taken to telling his students this helpful snippet when they receive rejections:
"well, it will be the first of many!"
Harsh! I'm sure you'll get lots of interviews as well!"
Congrats!Therapist4Change said:Oklahoma Health Consortium just sent out invites, as did CAVHCS.
