Does anyone know if OSU plans to release their acceptance/waitlist/rejection decisions tomorrow or Friday? I loved the school and I can't wait to hear back!

They said at my interview day that decisions would probably be posted tomorrow and definitely at the latest by Friday...
:luck::luck::luck:

although i feel like i am a sure waitlist (if not rejection ha)

I have a higher than average, balanced MCAT (35O) but a low GPA (I was a biomedical engineering major...eck). I have done a lot of volunteering, shadowing, and extracurriculars with leadership roles. My secondary was received on 9/9, but I have yet to hear anything. I'm aan in-state resident, and I would love to get an interview at OSU, but I'm starting to feel like I've been passed up.

Any insights on this matter?

Sounds like everything was working in your favor except that you applied late. OSU was actually the very first secondary that I got. I was complete in July and just got an interview invite in the middle of September, scheduled for the end of November. You'll probably still get an interview, it just might not be until January or February at this point.

I remember some school official telling us at interview day that we can expect to wake up on Friday morning to a "Your Status has Changed" email. Doesn't mean I won't be checking my email obsessively today...

It sometimes seems that OSU has an aversion to in-state applicants. Good luck!

129 of 220 (59%) students last year were from one state! A college/hospital that wants to compete nationally, needs to pick up the best from the entire country. "aversion to in-state" you say?

Awesome, I heard they were pretty quick about getting back to the applicants after the interview.

submitted my secondary 10/5. anybody else interviewing on 2/1/10?

I feel like applying to medical school is a crap-shoot. Does OSU reject before the end of the interview season (for those who did not get interviews)?

Yeah, I feel the same. I also haven't gotten any love from one of my in-state schools that has similar stats to OSU. Go figure. I'm not sure when OSU rejects.

They claim a 10 day span between interview and decision. From what I've experienced with OSU, I wouldn't be surprised if it is even shorter. Their admissions office really has it together.

anyone have any status changes yet today?????????? i'm dying here 🙄:luck:

I stand by what I said. For personal (read: anecdotal) reasons.

so which one is the closest airport to OSU?

Good luck to everyone waiting for news! I'm expecting this thread to be pretty popular tomorrow morning 😉

Just checked into the status page:

Me too!

😍🙂😀👍

Me three! 😀

Which is a surprise, because I felt my faculty interview went horribly.

Thinking of forming a Geriatric Self-Study interest group...interested, vc? 😉

I woke up extra early to check my status and...

I'm ACCEPTED! I'm so excited!

Go Buckeyes!

OMG!!!!!!! ACCEPTED!!!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!

Congrads to everyone else who got in!!!!

Accepted as well!!!!!!!!! Can't believe my life's dream has come true!! 🙂🙂🙂

I'm a reapplicant, I never thought I'd see this day!!!

Congrats to everyone else!! 👍👍😍

😀 Congrats guys!!! Hopefully I'll be joining you with an OSU acceptance in a few months 😀

I'll be the first to chime in with a REJECTION!

Kind of surprised, although I knew my interview hadn't gone all that well. I had two faculty guys interviewing me at the same time, and it was kind of awkward.

On the upside though, I at least have that lovely OSU bag to show for my efforts. Not a total loss.

Alright kids, good luck and congratulations to many of you!

Acceptance!!! Had a good interview but didn't expect it being OOS and below OSU average stats. Truly a blessing! Best of luck to everyone else with the process and keep on going! Was held and rejected yesterday so good things can still happen for you guys for sure.

ACCEPTED!!!!!!!

😀

First acceptance and probably my last... I loved OSU so much, I may just cancel my other interviews.

woah INVITE!! for Feb 3rd as well.
out of state and lower stats... is this a mistake?

still can't believe it, total shock 🙂

Rejected. File Closed. *sigh*

Genuinely loved this school, and I thought I was a competitive applicant. Tried my best to be confident and positive, while not showing any arrogance at all.

With a 60-what? percent post interview acceptance rate, I feel just destroyed that I didn't even make the waitlist. Should I even go to my interviews at Duke and Columbia? I probably don't have a chance in hell.

I'm calling the admissions office to find out what they think are my major deficiencies so I can improve.

Serious?

Congrats to all you who are accepted!

My first rejection. I had a feeling at least one of my interviews didn't go well, but I don't think this school was the best fit for me compared to the other places I interviewed at. I was predicting waitlist, though.

It is still a great school, so good luck to everybody else! Peace out, OSU thread.
