10 business days would be longer, but they usually do it a bit faster than that so very possibly tomorrow! Hope for good news for you guys.
 
Accepted 10/16. Got my call from Dean Capers today! I am way excited about this school, and am about 90% sure this is where I will be going.

Has anyone else decided if this is the place for them yet?

Deciding between OSU and Case is going to pretty much kill me. It's going to be heart-breaking to give one of those acceptances up!

yes, Dean Capers told us at the beginning of our interview

and the whole thing about having a 60-65% chance post-interview...

lol oops, well 2014 is our app year, I guess I could havae been a dual degree guy. But ya nice to meet you too. I'm pretty sure it's coming on monday, why all the hype today?

Just called. The very nice lady at the office says that she usually gets decisions on Monday and tries to get them in to the system by Monday afternoon. Expect to see status changes and an email Tuesday morning.

Now I get my Friday back! Have a great weekend, and see you Tuesday! 😉

Good luck guys. I'm probably to going to withdraw from a lot of my schools now that I have an OSU acceptance. It's way to early to say if I'll go here for sure, but I was VERY impressed by their program and I doubt I would go anywhere else unless I got into one of my dream schools. Ohio State really is the total package.

I'm somewhere close to 90% as well on OSU. The only other contender at this point is Pitt. It may come down to financial aid.
 
I'm supposed to go to Natty for an interview next Thursday. I won't go if I get into OSU. I can still cancel the flight and get a refund if I do it before the weekend. But of course that's IF I get in. Do you think it's a bad idea to call and ask?

Both. The pre-interview invite rate for OOS students is slightly lower, I believe, but the post-interview acceptance rate is within a couple percentage points.
 
I'm so, so nervous for Tuesday morning! Luckily, I don't have much else I'm supposed to be doing. Or maybe that's bad b/c my thoughts seem to wander back to OSU. Here's to hoping we all get in!

They say officially that the most they take is 10 days. but it is usually much faster than that.
 
They say 10 business days. So it will be close to 2 weeks before you hear anything.

Hopefully everyone here gets accepted next week!

I was there on 10/12 as well! Hmm, not sure I can figure out who you are though...

No I didn't, I was accepted the week of orientation. By then it was too late for me to matriculate this year. Sorry for not being more helpful about the deferment process! I really don't know how it works at OSU.

Fyi - your status change will likely occur without email. I got an email about my status change hours after my status actually changed. So your best bet of hearing will be to check your status online periodically.

It will be bold and intense. Good luck, and don't lose your mind checking the status page!

ha, i used check4change and let it automatically refresh every minute so i'll be notified as soon as my status changed.

Brilliant! I think sometime today then; according to the officer I spoke to, statuses are being put in this afternoon. Mind letting us know when your status changes? :xf::xf::xf:

too late for that 😛 I've already been accepted, so hopefully my status won't change again! But I did find out as early as possible using this method, if you look back a few pages you'll see i posted the news of status changes first 😀

Ah, I really need to start reading all your MD Apps before replying. CONGRATS!!! I'm reapplying too so it's always good to see reapplicants doing well. 🙂
 
If anyone is having trouble pulling together information for interview prep or just wants to know more about the school, I figured I'd leave you guys the link to the medical centers Youtube channel.

A lot of the people in the videos actually met us and talked to us on my interview day and I would recommend going through these videos - it will really give you an advantage at interview. I know it really helped me.

Awesome feeling isn't it 😀 Especially as a reapplicant! I'd screamed too if I could, but it was like 6 a.m. and I have 2 roomates haha

Wow! Interviewed on 10/14 and just got the call from Dean Capers! Unbelievable! I never thought this would happen. I wasn't even going to apply to OSU because I didn't think I could get in!
 
Congrats all, hopefully I hear good news too.
