Hmm...
Is it a wait list basically? I mean this early you should get in for sure. Truthfully I would kill for the waitlist at any school.
I don't know, they didn't explicitly state "waitlist". Just that my app will be reviewed again in the spring. But it does sound like a waitlist to me though.
is there a student host list for interviewees?
Gah, no mail. This sucks.
Maybe they are mailing out acceptance and waitlist letters first. I don't know, I live in California and my mail was postmarked 10/21 and I got it 10/23.
Anything after could be rejection letters, but I really hope I'm wrong, for you waiting guys' sake. It could be just that it's taking them a long time to put the stamps on, write out the address, etc.🙂

still no mail from downstate for me, and I interviewed early september 
for those that heard back, did your checklist pages change?
I looked at mine today and there is a yellow line that says "MED" and then below that is the regular checklist items...does anyone else have this?

I have that too. And I am on hold. Maybe acceptees/hold people have that bar?

No, because I'm on hold and I do not have that bar.
Some valuable information I dug out of past years on our "hold" status:
1. It's not a wait list because they do not have the wait list yet.
2. People get accepted straight off the hold status
3. People get put on the wait list straight off the hold status.
It sounds like it MIGHT be better than the waitlist.

(mailman just came...hahaha). Not surprise though since Downstate said they'll be mailing out my decision next week. I'm surprised they mailed out acceptances and waitlist the same time this week. I wonder what they'll be mailing out next week? Oh well, here's to more anxiety......

I also have that Bar and I interviewed 9/8 IS. Maybe it just means they decided on your application? Anyone accepted and NOT have that?
accepted..my status page shows a bunch of health requirements now with either green check marks or red x's
So, I have the entire health clearance form (with red x's) right now, but haven't received a letter or email from the background check company. Does this mean that I am accepted, or not?

Hi congrats. I interviewed first week in oct still no word. when did u interview. also where can i access the status page on their websiteJust received acceptance in the mail today! Also mailed out 10/21, but I live in Brooklyn so it has about 20 minutes to travel. Good luck to those that are waiting
Hey, so I check the status check website about every other day, and I continue to see the same thing (a bunch of green check marks). I am complete at this school as of the second week of August, but haven't heard anything from them since the complete snail-mail letter. Should I assume a rejection? Did they lost my file? Do they have a ranked interview invitation list? Folks getting interview invites...when were you complete?
Any advice would be great.

Thanks. I interviewed on Sept 17th so it might be another two weeks before you hear word, so don't fret about it. I usually just use the link from the secondary invite that they sent by email to get to the status page.

I don't interview until first week of Nov. and I have a yellow MED bar as well. I doubt it means much...
Thanks. Don't worry too much, its still early in the season and you weren't rejected so there is definitely still hope for Downstate. Congrats on your acceptance!

I interviewed on Sept 23rd and heard back on October 23rd
I got an interview invite last week for early November, I got the complete letter September 8. I dont think you should assume rejection...it's still early in the interview process, no?
Has anyone heard back for early October interviews? Perhaps the week of October 1st? 😀

Definitely don't assume rejection or waitlist this early. People get acceptances without waitlist for interviews into January and February and possibly later.
Not a stupid question at all cause I am tryna find out as well.

And to those on spring deferral (Elmo i saw), it's better than a waitlist. I know some people who were accepted right off of that deferral.
