2009-2010 SUNY Upstate Application Thread

I believe they are because that is the day I selected and it was the only date in RED. Talking about red, didn't the intructions indicate that the available dates were in blue?
So they sent me an email a couple of minutes ago telling me that I need to change my Spe 7 date because they made a mistake-it's labor day. Argh! My dad already bought the ticket. he'll be so pissed off. Well, I told him to wait but he wouldn't listen
Anyone else? Can someone tell me what their headings are?

Yes, I see the date received and a note which says "Supplemental Load Process". I have no idea what that means.. anyone know?
I have that as well, I submitted Aug 15 but it still says Supplemental load process
Don't worry guys. I'm complete and this is what mine says:

So don't worry about it. It doesn't change from that.

One can hope. Or they reviewed it and haven't made a decision. Or a snail mail is on its way saying rejected. Or just a computer glitch. I don't try and read into these things any more. It is enough to make you crazy. lol
Hey guys quick question -- since the secondary for Upstate is so straightforward, have any of you done anything above and beyond to try and stand out for the admissions committee, such as send a letter expressing your interest to go to Upstate or an extra essay, etc? Thanks

i think if they wanted an essay they would have asked...they get 1000s and likely dont want to bother. good luck!
I was under the impression that sending updates on how you were doing + letters of interest was seen as positive interest for that school. Or is this something you should do after the interview? What if I don't hear back from Upstate even in November? Feb?
I was thinking of sending an update letter and/or letter of intent after the interview.

So, to everyone who received interviews, or anyone else who knows what they mean, could you explain this:
Would you say that means I cannot submit until 1 week before and after the interview? Or would I only be able to submit before the "1 week" mark and not after that.
For example, if I was interviewing on Sept 7th, would I have:
from now until the Aug 31st
from the 31st until 7th, OR
from the 31st til the 14th to send in my essays?

wait until after an interview. also letters of intent are only for top choice. otherwise send updates.
i would call and double check, it's not overly specific. please let us know!

hey, if we were to pay online using e-cashier, are we still required to print out and send them the signature page?
it's doesn't say anything regarding that on the page itself, and the person i talked to over the phone (admissions staff) didn't seem too sure about it herself. 😕

I didnt mail anything to Upstate, everything was done electronically. I think youre fine.
So - I talked to someone on the phone about my online issues and she seemed to have no clue. I cant seem to check my status online!!! Those of you who have received updates/interviews - is there also an email that goes out to let people know?
basolateral - i wonder if we talked to the same person. Maybe it's someone who was newly hired. Every question I asked the answer was "that - I dont know"
if you're applying online u dont need the signature page, it says that on my login page

So I dont know if any of you have applied before or know much about this school but I wanted a little advice. I am interviewing at Albany at the end of September. I know Syracuse and Albany aren't super close but typically med schools ask you to let them know if you're going to be "in the area". Do we know when Upstate starts giving out interviews? Does anyone know what the procedure for this is and if Upstate wants you to do this? I live in Manhattan so it's not like either of them are super far, but I am in the area for this interview and it would be great to hit two birds with one stone.
What do you guys think?

i think you should wait and see if u get an interview. they will let you pick from a bunch of dates
