I wanted to ask any current Temple students or others that might know, how many are accepted off the waitlist usually? Is it like a fifth or closer to a half--anyone know?

Quick question, do they notify you once they receive your transcript?

Good luck to everyone in the coming year 🙂 Hope you had a great holiday break!

Hello everyone, I will be in Philly on 1/7th for my interview, and I'm curious if any applicant would like to meet up before interview on 6th? Perhaps a dinner at Chinatown?🙂

I will be interviewing on 1/7 as well, but I don't feel like going all the way to Chinatown =). Good luck, and I'll see ya on interview day!

Does anyone know when Temple was dropped from LCME probation?

good to know. Seems like they have made awesome improvements in the last 5 years on facilities, faculty and research.

Although...the new building might limit the movement a bit this year, if you know what I mean.

The lady who gives the first introduction last year said she also messed up by accepting too many people last year🙄 aiming for a class of 180 and it ended up being ~ 200

Are mid-January interviews basically interviews for the wait list?

 its like 5 minutes from TU. with that said, chinatown in philly is egh.

yea a lot of the Philly schools have been in financial trouble before - there's around 22 hospitals in this city. The probation at TU was like a while ago though and temporary. At least it has firm hold of its hospitals and clinical sites though.

New building is pretty sick, its like the nicest thing in a mile radius or so, and somewhat out of place. I think the people at Temple are pretty cool though.

I dunno. The buildings were nice, but this place is in the 'hood!

Gang-bangers and shady characters all over.

Hey everyone!

just wondering...ive been complete since Mid August and haven't heard anything since. Just wanted to know...if i still have a decent chance at an interview? would it help if i sent in a letter of interest or update?

you can't expect us to speculate whether you have a decent chance at an interview, especially without any background information about you. i don't see how sending an interest/update letter can hurt, so I would definitely send one.

just curious what's the meaning of "under review" and how long does it take to change that status to something different ??

That's like asking "how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie roll pop"

I was complete on 10/15/2009, got interview invite on 10/27/2009 and interviewed on 12/9/2009. Anyone interview on that day? If so, did you get an acceptance? Does temple notify you by phone/email? or only snail mail? I'm kind of scared because my roommate told me I got a letter from Temple (and NJMS) and I won't be back in Baltimore until Sunday. do acceptances come in a large packet or normal sized letter?

You can check your status page. It will say accepted.

Just came today, somewhat out of the blue. No slots until March... hmmm...

Congrats, Nontrad! (also on your EVMS acceptance!) If you don't mind sharing, when was your application 'complete' here? I've been 'Under Review' for ages now, so am just trying to gauge if there's any hope on my end--thanks for any help and, again, congrats to you!

Same here.

Who would I send a LOI to... the email address or the "Send us Stuff" tab on their status site?
I would rather email it as when I submitted my updated unofficial transcript I got no "Thanks, we got it etc.." but just curious what others have done.

Did people who interview receive a confirmation after sending their photo to the admissions office before the day of the interview?

Also, is it just me or is the status website not letting us log in?

EDIT: Nevermind...just started working.

I knew my picture was successfully received when it showed up in the right side panel on Temple's status page.

Anyone else interviewing this upcoming week? 🙂 I keep thinking the pre-interview jitters should get progressively less bothersome with each interview, but nope, still there.

So, I want to make sure I perform excellent on the interview. So does anyone who has aleready interviewed have any useful suggestions, tips, information? is there anything u wish u had known prior? any good questions to ask? or does anyone know how much of the class is filled? anything will help

it will be much appreciated by not only me but fellow SDNers as well.

Check out the Interview Feedback page. Lots of tips and advice there.

After receiving another acceptance, I am officially withdrawing my Feb interview. Hope it goes to one of you fellas.

Try and "sell" yourself to your interviewer...tell them why they should take you and what you could bring to the class, but do it in a way that it doesn't sound like you are listing things. good luck.

IntelInside - I will be seeing you wednesday! Good luck!

So what month are they now in terms of interviewing?

Dark navy skirt suit (yes...despite my username I am a female, not a transvestite - benny = my poodle). Also, I am really tall for a girl, almost 5'11...so that will probably dead giveaway. What time is your interview? Mine is an afternoon one so I do not have to get there till 11:45.

I have a morning interview @ 10:30 then my student interview @ 2:00 so I will see you when you get there.
