Yeah, it took most of the people I know at least a week. So, you're right on track.

Hopefully we'll get some interview invites soon.

Have you all seen the "Send Us Stuff" link when you login to check your status? It looks like you can upload documents. Is this for LOIs?

Ha! You'd fit right into the North Philly neighborhood
everyone whos from this area tells me to stay the **** away ahhah.....im going to be scared if i end up here.....This one guy in our lab is from philly and the stories he tells of this area scare the hell out of me

I just submitted my secondary and within seconds of clicking the button, I remembered that I completely forgot to write about why I chose the campus I chose.
I wrote a nice little essay and mentioned the new med school building and the cancer research center, so maybe that will be enough? I didn't specifically say "that's why I want the Philly campus", but I did kind of indicate it in my answer.....

Yea, I heard stories too! Now I grew up in an urban area, so i don't know if its anything to be worried about or just normal to me, hahaha.

I asked them about that and some people use it to upload letters of intent, but mostly it is to update grades, research, or CV for them. Sometime things change people get jobs begin clinical experience that sort of thing and want to tell them so this year they included a way to do it.

I interviewed at Temple last year and had some of these same concerns prior to the interview. From my assessment after the interview, the "danger" seems like most other places with bad areas... if you are smart and aware of your surroundings, you won't have problems.

Surprisingly, I actually felt that the med school being right in the heart of their mission (the people in that neighborhood) contributed to the legitimacy of their mission statement. On the tour, they confront this question straight out, and are proud of the fact that they chose to build the new building in the same "bad" area even though they had many alternative options for locations.

I dont want to wear kevlar to class 🙁🙁 lol. I suppose it may not be a big deal, i guess ill just have to see it with my own eyes on interviews, ive lived in some ****ty areas anyways in my life, i cant imagine its much worse then where ive been. so cal has tons of horrid crime riddled areas.

You won't. It's really not so bad. And you won't live right near the school anyway. I live 20 minutes away in a beautiful suburb, and there are lots of places to live for pretty cheap that are not that far. You won't need a car in a lot of them either.

Okay, where is there info on the clinical sites on the Temple website. I cannot find anything for the Temple hospital.

Don't worry too much about it. When I had my interview there, they told me that you could always change it. While at the interview, they give you a description of everything. From what I remember though, the Temple site is really big on pulmonary care.

i got my interview invite at temple! my first interview invite of this year. 😍 i literarily jumped up and down when i saw that. they didn't send me an email but my status page changed to invited for interview. i don't know when i was completed because temple never sent me emails but my committee material was uploaded on aug 6th so they are reviewing things pretty quickly!

First interview invite! Congrats to all others that got interviews. For those that didn't, keep checking the site because I never got an email regarding my invite. My friend who got an interview late last week got an email but I havent heard of anyone since then getting one. I was complete 7/30.

Interview. Just saw here that other people had them and checked my status page. Doesn't seem like they're sending emails yet. Gonna try and schedule it for late September (like to get it in early). 3rd interview invite, 2nd in Philly. This isn't my top choice, but I've heard their new med school building rocks so I'm slightly more excited.

Stats: 36T, 3.7 cGPA, 3.8 sGPA, live in Philadelphia
