I believe that's what I read from last year's forum. Yes snail mail for rejection or waitlist.

I think they post accepted on status page. But I'm not sure too, so I'm asking also. Maybe jcm5023 can help us 🙂 thanks!

At the interview day, the director of admissions said they'd mail out correspondence on the 15th, AND our status page would change so that we knew if we were accepted.

What day did you interview? I interviewed last Wed., so I'd be very surprised if they had a decision for our group so soon.
 
Hey Paper, I interviewed last Weds too! They actually said that they *might* have decisions for us on the 15th... but I'm with you in not expecting a thing until next week at the earliest.

Oh wow. I was looking forward to not having to freak out in anticipation for Friday... but who knows, it could be good news :laugh:

Where were you from? I'm pretty sure I was the only person there from NH, so perhaps that's an indication of who I was. I really liked our particular interview group that day.
 
When I was accepted it told me on the status page. Some students in my class got phone calls, others got the message on the status page. A few weeks to months after you hear from the status page/phone call, you get an official letter stating your acceptance.
All waitlists and rejections are sent via snail mail initially. It will eventually show on your status page but it may take a bit.
By the way...do not let the length of time since your interview discourage you. They have their meetings on Friday afternoon (I have seen them do it). If your interviewer is unable to make it to the meeting, they table your name until they can make it. As you can imagine, doctors are very busy. It may take them several weeks until they can make it out to one of the committee meetings.
 
I am really nervous for tomorrow. Also I sincerely hope that they will actually inform us tomorrow and not play with our minds. I would hate to have to agonize for longer. Does anyone know what's the interview/acceptance ratio if you interviewed pre Oct 15th? thanks!

US News data for overall interview/acceptance ratio is In-state 187/218 = 86% and out-of-state 352/599 = 59%

Eduers.com have same data I think.

I read from last year's thread Temple seems to be trying to accept less people at the beginning and waitlist more, so they can save spots to accept better people who've applied later, in order to improve their selectivity numbers. So I would say the ratio is lower than posted above for early acceptance.

i just checked and there was no status update 😳

to feed the paranoia: if they've made decisions they put up accepted, or correspondence is coming some other way? and the second means waitlist/reject?

i remember reading this somewhere but it all blends together after a while...
 
i just checked temple status page....no update at midnight. haha i feel really paranoid but i would just love some release from this process!
 
Status site seems to be down.. maybe too many people refreshing it.

bahhh so how many people actually think the decision is going to come out today?! I interviewed September 16 and have been dyinnngggg to know ever since.
 
Just read through some of the threads from last year. Looks like many people who thought they were getting decisions on October 15th actually found out 2-3 weeks later. Might depend on when your interviewer attends committee meetings.
 
yeah i saw that too. usually i'm a little more chill about this stuff, but i want to know asap. all of a sudden i'm on pins and needles about it... seriously considering calling when i get out of this biostat class haha... but from someone else's phone because i'm paranoid they'll flag me as annoying.

yoo okay so i just called and they said they actually mailed the decisions today. ahhh! she said she wasn't sure if the website status pages would be updated though, and that we should check back later in the day. i asked her if she could tell me then and she basically was like .. umm not so much haha.

oh and dan the man... i used a friends phone and avoided saying my name. duh.

But I hear a lot of schools are using voice recognition software for this very reason. Don't worry, I guess if decisions are in the mail its too late to reject you now. Thanks for calling though I just wish they could've been a little more informative.

I was really hoping to know if I was accepted before my 1:30 midterm. Would've made it much less stressful.

Can everyone help out everyone else and post your interview date along with your decision, so we can guess when we might hear?
 
I interviewed on 9/24, a day after mdeast and my status still says "Interview Complete". wth? I mean I'm not in a rush, I already have two acceptance but it is good to know. Temple is a great place
 
i guess i didn't get called out too bad for calling... yay accepted! anyone for whom temple is a top choice feel free to message me. i'm so excited!

i love temple not only because the bangin' new school, but also that they believed in me when i had a 29P. I retook the MCAT on August 14, but had an interview invite from them on around August 26. I interviewed on September 16... just 10 hours after I found out I got a 34S. Temple is awesomeee and I'm so pumped... so yeah any future friends out there feel free to hit me up haha.

Still "Interview Complete," but my interview date was in Late September.

Did you get an email or was it just on status page?
 
Hmm I interviewed on September 22nd and my status is still "interview complete"
 
Has anyone still under review tried sending a letter of interest or update letter?
 
I was interviewed on 9/24 and my status page is still interview complete.

I guess late Sept interviews haven't been put forth for a decision yet, seems like from ppl's responses.
