for those of you who have interviewed at tulane: when they emailed you with the invite and you replied to the email, did they reply back? i was wondering because they didnt send anything back to me and it is making me a little bit nervous.

They replied like 5 days before my interview.
 
Has anyone heard anything else up or down from Tulane since last Friday?
 
congrats to you all who have received acceptances or have already interviewed! how long did it take for most of you all to receive an invite? Also, did most of you get a complete email? All I received was a notification that my online form was submitted really..

I know myself and a few others here didn't get a "complete" email and then received an interview invite a little while later. My timeline: July 13th, submitted secondary and received an email verifying that. Aug 23rd, interview invite. No correspondence in between. So, this could be a good sign...

...or, they could just be backed up. lol
 
Rejected... just got the email🙁 Good luck to everyone else who's still waiting!
 
Is it just me....or is Tulane the worst in terms of communication?

I had to call to find out if my application was complete last week, and they said there would be action on my file in a couple days. Still haven't heard anything.

I sent them an activities update today, they might just wipe their azz with it for all I know. This is stupidity.

PlaceboEffect, have you heard anything yet? You interviewed on the same day as me and people who interviewed after us have already been accepted. Any ideas???

Nope, haven't heard anything 🙁. I feel like that maybe means waitlist? Although I really hope that's not true and I don't know why they haven't sent emails yet...[though this school is notorious for being pretty slow]. Dr. Beckman made it seem like since we were interviewing on the 2nd day possible as long as we didn't completely mess up our interview we would be in good shape...boo for instilling a false sense of security. 👎

Hey all, I interviewed to at Tulane in early october, still no news. I dont think it is that bad at this point as I believe if I was rejected outright or on waitlist they would have let me known, besides I thought I had a pretty good interview(s).

They did say that it'd take about a month to come up with any decision, so no worries.
 
I was complete over a month and a half ago, and I haven't heard ANYTHING, rejection or otherwise. That seems weird to me...should I call? email? Am I even still really in the running? I kind of feel like they may have just forgotten to reject me or something 🙁
 
Do they only "complete" your application if it's actually being reviewed? I submitted my secondary in early September and was complete at most schools by 9/17, and I have still not received any complete notification from Tulane.

It takes a long time. I actually never got a complete email. Just an interview invite, but that was still over two months after I submitted my secondary.
 
Could someone please let me know what the order of events are during the interview day at Tulane. I know in the email it says, the day begins around 830 and ends at 230 or so. But are the faculty interviews held first? I know the student one is also a lunch interview, but is that around 12?

Sorry I couldn't find this on the website and it doesn't say in the interview feedback forums, what the schedule is like

A little intro to Tulane, then faculty interviews then student interview at 12:30 ish (I think) then a tour, and that's it.
 
So post interview.... what are we looking at for turn around on results? Seems like results timing has been variable.

I'm so anxious to know, I can barely do anything else for long w/o checking this thread.

well, it was about 3.5 weeks for me, but I couldn't have heard anything any earlier than that, per the rules. I cannot find it, but I vaguely recall seeing in the materials we were given on interview day something that said a decision would be made in two weeks (or am I making that up?).

I don't often post in the non-trad forum but I do read a bit, and I have to say, I loves me some Nasrudin posts. I would dig having you as a classmate; I wish you the best of luck and hope you hear good news soon!

For those who have been accepted to Tulane and replied to the email address (the correct one), have you gotten a response yet?

not yet. are we supposed to? it would be nice to have some confirmation that our emails did get there...I'd hate to show up next summer and be told "oh, we never got your acceptance email so we canceled your spot!"
 
I called today, and they said we should get a response. I'd like some kind of confirmation, too! I'm really excited about Tulane. Hopefully they'll respond soon...

Not making it up - I believe that is what is advertised by Tulane. Needless to say, they aren't always able to keep up with that rate, since they do have a pretty large applicant pool.

But yeah, you waiters aren't alone. I know someone who interviewed back around 9/18 or 9/21 or something, and just got reviewed this week, but still doesn't have a decision. I'd imagine perhaps some acceptances and deferreds would fly tomorrow... since last week's release was Friday as well... good luck folks!
 
Submitted 8/22 and still waiting. Have same stats as futureNCmed (same state too NC). Not looking good. Going crazy waiting for so many schools.
 
Yes Tulane does say that you could receive a decision in 2 weeks, but I would not say that is the norm. I am a re-applicant and I was never notified about my post-interview status. When I called, I was simply told that I was in the acceptable range, where I remained through August. I didn't receive any emails saying that I was waitlisted, so I wouldn't necessarily count on receiving any notice this year either. Good luck to everyone!

Awesome, I guess that means I'm waitlisted. At least they could send us an email with our status and what to expect considering many of us who interviewed there spent a lot of time and money getting to Tulane and are looking forward to their decision.
 
Wow congrats to all the acceptances. Hope to hear back from them soon and have good news.:xf::xf::xf:
