I got you beat there... lol. Also you noticed you got into USC off the waitlist recently... big decisions to make. If I could sway you in any direction you know what I would say😛

I'm with Reader, now the important question arises. Will you be joining CDU this fall?
 
Well, congratulations Anomnisoul!! That's great news. I called Sandy last week and she told me at that time there was only one spot left so I'm guessing yours was that spot. I guess I should be expecting my rejection letter in the mail soon 🙁🙁
 
Alright Anomnisoul... what's the verdict? You are so lucky to have the choice to pick between two amazing schools!
 
I decided to go with USC. Also, when I was talking with Sandy, if I understood her correctly, there were about 4 other people still with multiple acceptances so more spots may open. But anyways, I hope someone here gets a spot. Good luck!!
 
Congrats again Anomnisoul, must be great to be staying in Cali. Yes, you're right there are other ppl holding multiple acceptances so there should be some movement soon. I'm rooting for lovemesomeTJ, hope you get your first acceptance soon. Goodluck everyone:luck:

Wow, THANKS islandprincess! At this point I'm a little indifferent towards the whole application process thing, so my brain is just floating, que sera sera. It seems like you're really vested in Drew still, so I really hope that you get the opportunity to be in (stay in?) California. 👍

Thanks, I'm out of state. I just really want to go to a school I "want" to go to and that's Drew. hopefully all 4 will withdraw and there will be enough spots for all of us.
 
Does anybody know if files are being looked at today? Anyone talk to Sandy lately? Usually they expect answers on Fridays from the accepted students and the following Tuesday they take files to UCLA with acceptances being handed out Wednesday. Anyone confirm this?
 
Just got the call so I would say they did meet today.

Glad to see the regulars finally getting the call. Congrats islandprincess!

@saintmed - I don't know why I've held out so long to reveal this, but we interviewed together. In fact, we did the group project together, haha! I thought you were a cool dude, I'm happy for you man! Drew exceeded all my expectations and I left that interview feeling "at home" in this school. I honestly felt heaviness in my chest turning down this acceptance.

Anyway, this is officially the end of the cycle for me. I just dropped by to wish you all good luck, future colleagues. Drew is an amazing school and will always have a place in my heart! Congrats again!
 
Hey sunsfan! Congrats on wherever you chose to go. Question....when did you drop out of Drew?
I also interviewed the same day and I'm still waiting. Hoping for some empty spots.

Thanks for the compliment. Honestly, everyone in our group project was great and it sucks you won't be coming to drew. I think it was hilarious when we thought about the one million dollars at the end lol. Anyways good luck whether you go!!!!
 
Quick question for anyone still left on this thread that hasn't heard back from Drew. If they call would you go? There is a week and a half left till orientation. Could you make it on such short notice?

I live close enough to both campuses that I wouldn't have to move, but I probably wouldn't go.

Wow, didn't see time creeping up on us like that!
 
Yeah, it is close and deciding now would be quite a step. One would have to hussle quite a bit and leave everything behind in a week.
 
Really? I didn't know orientation started so early.

I spoke to Sandy Friday and yesterday. They meet today to choose the last (1-2?) candidates. So..if no phone call today or tomorrow. Guess we won't have to worry about last minute changes...

I would go no matter what..even if it was the day before.
 
Oh geez!! This could mean the end of the line then. I didn't know orientation was that close...I know that UCLA (I'm assuming that Drew is the same) starts orientation and introductions Aug 2 with the white coat ceremony Aug 6. Crossing my fingers for some good news tomorrow!! :xf::xf::xf:

Yeah, but Drew has their own orientation a week before that. Hence the earlier start.

Apparently the 16th is the latest date one can be admitted into Drew. On Sunday the 18th the first orientation day starts at Drew. On the 23rd they have the white coat ceremony and then on to UCLA for their orientation. It's all going to happen fast. Please post if you get the call!
 
Well, what's the verdict? Has anyone on this forum gotten the golden handshake? If so are you planning to attend?
 
yes, I received the call today!! I'm in and definitely going!!! So exciting..I've been waiting since Jan.

Mmmm, the wait is over. According to some of the above posts, the 16th was the last day to hear, as they start orientation this week and UCLA's starts next week. I believe. Don't quote me.

Yes...Friday the 16th at 5pm the door was shut closed. They will have orientation for the next two weeks actually and then start UCLA orientation on Aug 2nd.
 
Hmmm...Well I talked to Sandy on Friday and she told me that I was on a waitlist and that they were still expecting some movement. My status still hasn't changed so I'm pretty confused. I've heard of people getting in even after orientation has started so I think there is still hope. I can't help but be hopeful since this is my dream school :xf::xf:

Have you checked your status? My status on the website changed and I got my rejection letter on Saturday. If you haven't gotten either of those then yeah, there's a possibility that if a student at orientation hasn't signed all of her papers and gets into another school and leaves, that you might be next up. And I can't speak for the process (i.e., I can't say that once you have attended the 1st day you are locked in to CDU/UCLA), so of course, there's always the possibility. :luck:
 
I have to say, I thought they forgot about me. I FINALLY got the thin envelope almost exactly 9 months after the last I heard from them... at my INTERVIEW!

I loved the program, but UCI stole my heart by being so responsive and considerate. It's a little bit of a turnoff that they left me hanging SO long without any word...

Anyway, congrats and good luck to everyone!
 
Hey Diva! Funny enough I still haven't received a rejection letter or status change. I'm sure they are keeping a few people around in case someone looses it during orientation. It appears it has never happened before but they always keep a few people around. It doesn't mean much though! Good luck to you!
