My gpa is 3.63, mcat 28 (V:11 B:10 P:7), and I interviewed in November. I honestly didn't feel like my interview went super well either. Like someone said previously, I got an email at about 10:30 saying there was a change in my status and to call them. Good luck to the rest of you on the waitlist... I know it sucks, but keep the hope alive! 🙂

There is no way you'll get an idea of where you are on the list by getting their stats and stuff because you aren't on the admission's committee, who knows how they ranked us lol!

Well look at this person's stats. It's not bad, I'm not too far off but it's not above the average at Wayne. So I'm sure there are a lot of people on here with higher scores but this person who got off the list. So we can't really go by scores. And they didn't feel that their interview was awesome.

I mean we don't know what they want. Maybe this candidate like cured cancer or something It's just so hard to predict by scores because my friend also got accepted to Wayne with a 29 MCAT, 3.5 GPA and OOS. I'm sure some of you IS folks have better stats than her but are wait listed.

We had 2 people get off yesterday but that is only on SDN. I'm sure in reality they pulled at least 10-20 people off.

So I don't know if we'll have movement until next week.

I also received an email with good news! Looks like the trend might have been in-staters being taken because I am also IS. Good luck to those waiting. This is a harrowing process to be sure! To answer the previous question about stats: 32/3.2 w/ graduate degree.

Yes this is very exciting! I am having so much trouble not thinking about this and hoping for an email every morning. Its taking over my life. For my own sanity I am REALLLLY hopin for good news soon, but of course I will take it whenever it comes, if it ever does 😕

I'm sure many of you feel the same, and from the looks of previous posts, I don't think there is anything we can do to predict who will be next. We have people with 36s who are wait listed and people with 28s who are getting off the list. That really sucks in terms of predicting, but of course, congrats to those who are getting good news.

My friend is also waitlsited at Wayne with a 3.8 and 35 so I guess this was what I was saying earlier about how it doesn't seem to be stats correlated.

I just realized something, there was movement on Monday because that's when the committee meets. I bet there will be movement next Monday too!

I called yesterday, and they couldn't tell me how many people were on the waitlist.

that's weird but i called on may 5th and the lady said that there's more than 200 people on the waitlist but they did cut about 100 people off. and she also did say that mcat and gpa are mostly important for getting you the interview and the other things are more important for acceptance. at least that's what i got from it.

Well, she wasn't super clear. but there are more than 200 on the list AFTER removing 100 of the lowest people. Also, if this helps, she said historically they've let in between 0 - 100 people from the waitlist. last year it was 70.

I'm glad you got some info when you called! When I talked to them they lady said she couldn't disclose any of that information!

Judging solely from last year's thread, there wasn't much movement. I hope this means there will be more people taken off the list this year.

But 200+ isn't bad, I thought their list would be like 500 people

70 isn't bad either. We have to remember that the final list might start out at 200+ but I'm sure along the summer people get off of other waitlists and such. Or I bet towards July, people with other acceptances and still on the wait list for Wayne might drop out because they need time to relocate. Plus one's preference changes and maybe the other schools starts to become more appealing. In the end, no one wishes to have to relocate like a week before classes start.

So 70 probably out of 100 - 150 I would say that would be on the waitlist. I mean how many of you only have the Wayne wait list? I think 90% of us are on 2 or more. Me personally if I'm going to which ever one takes me first 👍

assuming there are 350 acceptances given out by the end of interviews (7 x 50 acceptances?), and a total of ~500 acceptances, wouldn't that mean at least 150 were from the waitlist?

I've been thinking the same thing. I guess this proves that wayne accepts more than 300 students before may 5th... so while we originally thought that there were like 650 on the waitlist there actually is probably like 200-300 has a previous poster mentioned. It seems like there is a lot more movement this yea, at least at this point. I'm sure several dozen have alreeady been accepted in the past week. Fingers crossed.

I also thought the waitlist was going to be much longer. Actually I am only on the waitlist for Wayne...which I don't exactly understand, but who really understands how this whole selection process works anywho.

i thought the same.. that maybe "70" could just be the matriculation #. that would be great, but doesn't sound likely. my guess is that they probably have accepted about 450 by the end of interviews, and whenever the number dips below 290 they start the waitlist. to keep hope alive, i'd consider it a good sign that waitlist movement has started this early.
