Has anyone tried contacting Houston? After typing this, I know someone will just say why don't I try contacting them. But after waiting this long, I don't want to jinx myself!!!

I guess we (those waiting on Houston) are going to have to wait until next week...

I hope you will hear good news from Houston. But honestly your call is not going to change anything. I called several times because I cannot focus on my study in school. I have killing courses and I need lots of concentration.

I think you called houston today 😀. sorry buddy, I can not be your companian for calling Houston. No interview for me in Houston. that means no action and 24 hours show loooooool :laugh:

Did you call houston??? I don't think there's certain date that they send out letters, I think they send out letters as they get respond from the applicants....
 
I was browsing some of the forums on this site and I saw that there was a comment posted on the UTDB c/o 2013 forum. Someone got an email early this morning so maybe the second round starts today. If so best of luck guys 🙂

i think the person who got the acceptance letter applied AADSAS..anybody else get UTDB email?
 
So people with AADSAS can just check their status daily?
 
I haven't heard anything from UTDB yet. There seems to be no movement on predents.com. Maybe that person was joking? I wish Houston was more open like San Antonio...I guess I'll be just waiting with the rest of you...

Dude, as long as we don't receive the rejection letter, we're in a good shape. No news is so much better than bad news....:scared:

My best-friend called me today and told me that she got an acceptance letter from Houston yesterday!!!!

When was she interviewed? I'm starting to think that utdb only looks at the applications that interviewed after the 2nd round. If that's the case, I might as well start thinking about next year.

Actually that's not the case, even though I was interviewed for the second round. She was interviewed in the first round

can't figure out whats going on with UTDB
someone got in yesterday, someone got in today..
someone got in last week, before feb 20th, might be bogus
last time i emailed they were really vague and told me to be patient..

i agree that the lies are getting annoying. as danny said, houston DOES NOT send "letters", they send EMAILS. if you're going to try and help us out by letting know when houston has made communication, u need to specifically state date and time the email was sent.

that being said, i'm pretty sure there should be emails sent this week, so please post if you receive ANY emails, acceptance, waitlist, rejection or what not.

I'm feelin this week too. It'll be 10-14 days after the last round, so with 20 seats left they are bound to send them out. Plus reading that the AADSAS status changed on Thursday for someone.....it's gotta be prep for this week!

Ok guys, you all need to relax.... To be honest, I'm just one of you all, and have no intention to provide false information. One of my friends whose statssssss are not all that did call me last week and mentioned that she found out .... that she got in as I said in my earlier post. I on the other hand feeling like :scared:, just wanted to share the info with you. For God sake I don't have to be specific LETTER, EMAIL, Acceptance all mean the same to me..... Anyways I hope you all accept my apology if you think I was wrong. GOOD LUCK Guyssss I really hope we all get in this year👍

No, I live in North Dallas (Addison) . but I am familiar with almost everywher in Dallas area because my job. you can find apartement in uptown (downtown Dallas) but they are prety expensive(1100+) for one bedroom. You can find cheaper in east side of downtown (Baylor area :laugh:) prety cheap but you know what kind of neighborhood they are. any question plz feel free to ask 👍 I live at Beltline & Marsh.

I do research at UTDB and today I stopped by student affairs to ask how many spots were left. Unfortunately, for my sake and all of yours, the lady told me it was full.

On to the next cycle.😳
 
CORRECTION: I just emailed in and a different lady told me it is not yet full.
 
Two weeks ago (before 1/20) Dr. P told a friend of mine that there were a good amount of spots left. I doubt that has changed.
 
There's no way, the lady probabely was tired of people stoping by the office and asking her?????? so she said something so you would never go back again. Not that I think I will get in, but come on guys you all don't have to rely on whatever people tell you on this forum, as long as we don't receive that rejection letter we still have a chance, Dr.P himself mentioned that they send out accepetance letters until late june last year. For instance last year I got rejected in april, but someone got in in MAY. So all of you unless you don't get that rejection letterrrrr or whatever email, there's still hopeeeee👍
 
I was just letting ya'll know...but anyways. The only other thing I was told by email was that they appreciated my patience and that she apologized that I was given incorrect info (she ignored a couple of other questions I asked).
 
I just finished searching for an apartment in the downtown/uptown/75 area and am living right by Baylor. Send me a PM and I'll give you some info about places if you're interested.
 
The lady that emailed me noticed that she missed my questions and answered them. She said that there is an alternate list but that they won't be contacting those who are on it for another several weeks. I also asked how many spots were left, but she skipped that one, lol.
 
Houston rejection email today without interview.
 
got my houston rejection this morning as well. I interviewed Dec. 8

I was the one who received the acceptance email on Feb. 16th (before Feb. 20th). I was surprised too, as everyone on sdn had been saying not to expect anything until after the 20th. Anyway - I'd be happy to forward you the email, if you really think I'm not telling the truth. This was my 2nd round & I know how much the waiting sucks. I only interviewed at one school this year (Houston) and that was not until Feb. 2nd... I did not interview last year at all. So, I have experienced my fair share of waiting and disappointment. Dr. P. did say that the three Texas schools play musical chairs and will most likely not have everything settled until May. I really do wish you all the best of luck!

I noticed on your PreDents profile, you were accepted to San Antonio Dec 1st.
Did you accept their offer? The reason I ask is because I was accepted to SA too and accepted their offer last minute because I was waiting to hear from Houston. I interviewed at Houston on Dec 15 and Dr. P specifically stated that even if we agree to go elsewhere, they would still send you an invite regardless.

Now I'm wondering if they are rejecting those who've already accepted a seat elsewhere?? I hope that isn't the case.

Did not mean for it to sound like I was calling you a liar liar pants on fire.. Just frustrated with how Houston is operating.. there's no predictable time table with them and that doesn't sit well with me.
Congrats on the acceptance and best of luck to you as well.

I thought if I saw an email from UTDB anytime this week, it would be good news.
But now that people are receiving rejections via email, kinda makes me not want to check my email anymore. :scared:
Especially since they're also sending out rejections to those who interviewed.

I too interviewed Dec. 8th but did not receive anything from Houston..hope it means good news for me...im tired of waiting...🙁 you had stellar stats by the way!
