Congrats, but I'm taking an borough acceptance as the proverbial nail in my coffin (waiting here in the city).

Sober College, here I come!

 I feel the same way. What are the chances mail would get to Queens and not BK in one day? Oh well.. maybe the mail service is super crappy.

I sent an official transcript to confirm my update about doing well last semester. I just got a call from my undergrad's registrar office that the transcript was returned. Maybe my update wasn't received as well? I sent it to the office of admissions.... what address should I have used????!?!

I thought the wait lists were going out via email

i think she said that rejections were going through email and waitlists through snail mail.

i'm in the same boat as you are supernerd!

if you're at school and don't get it today, you can always chalk it up to your school's mail room being slow =]

In the same boat as you guys . . .I am praying that the USPS is just slow-- but it probably would have arrived yesterday since I'm in Brooklyn. Here's to hoping for a wait-list spot . . .

I think I'm going to throw up, anticipation is a killer.

gl guys.

seriously. Snail mail in bursts like this is terrible. There's the freakout that the later you receive the letter (and more time to freak out) the worse the news. If I don't receive a package today I'll have to assume wait list or rejection because my mailing address is in a city on the East Coast.

Totally. Im in the midwest and I'm thinking the same thing. empty mailbox today means waitlist in all likelihood. Maybe I'll cling onto one more day though and blame it on the shotty postal system...

It is amazing how easy it is to go into full blown panic just by reading this thread...

Our postman should be ringing in 30 minutes...😱

But I just realized there may be no one at my house!!!!!!!

If I follow this thread any longer I think I'll have a heart attack. My heart rate is 30 bpm higher than normal right now. Peace out.

just got my rejection email. i must say, they were pretty nice about it.

No letter from Columbia today, looks like waitlist. (If all rejections were sent at the same time as MB333999's)

I know what you mean...middle of nowhere in washington state i'll be lucky if i get it this week or the next haha...but i'd rather wait than get an instant rejection. I just ran out of spartacus episodes to keep my mind off of this 😡

Don't think it'll be that long. Priority should get there in 3 days max so it should be there tomorrow (and Saturday at the very latest). Good luck!!! :luck:

OMG ACCEPTED!!! YAAAAAAY!

Letter arrived via priority mail to my preferred address outside Boston. SO EXCITED! Columbia is my first choice so I'm totally going! :soexcited:

Congrats to everyone who was accepted! It is exactly four years ago to the day that I got the good news and as I get closer to the match and graduation, it only becomes more apparent how wild a ride it has been and how much fun I've had while here.

Go chill, celebrate, and get ready for revisit... I'm sure the first years are planning something amazing for you!

G'luck to everyone waiting to hear or who has gotten the WL letter. Persistence pays off here, so if you want to come, let them know it!

Good call. So definitely still possible to be getting an email for those of us interviewed. The F5 key exploded and there's a fire so I've gotta get out of here.

Florida (74 degrees, blue skies and sunny 🙂) (wishing to be there now...)

Wellll in that case, letters are getting around. Boston, Michigan, Florida. I would think everyone else should be tomorrow or Saturday at the latest. Congrats on your acceptance!

Wait what. Well Columbia's all about clubs-- maybe if accepted we can make an uncle phil/shredder club.
