So, we've established that "a final decision" status can mean either an accept or a reject?

I haven't seen anything to contradict it in last year's or this year's threads.

You're giving me hope that I will get a final decision before the end of March. I interviewed 1/8 and status recently changed to "under review by the admissions committee." Good Luck dancingthrulife! Is your screen name inspired by Fiyero?
 
Interviewed 1/3 and my status says "final descion has been made" I can't wait!!! Anyone care to share how long their status said that before they received the letter? Thanks and good luck to everyone!!:xf:

Has anyone who got a final decision last Thursday and doesn't live in Philly received anything yet?

I interviewed 1/8 and my status changed to a "final decision" too. In regards to how long until we receive the letters there is a post on this page that says the letters usually go out Friday, so I think we should receive the letters on Saturday. Hopefully we both get big envelopes!!:xf:

I don't see that on the MyApplication page, just a bigger chart saying things like: Supplemental Application, Photo, Application Fee, LORs, and THEN there's a link to view Application Status, but when I click on that it doesn't show this table... only the page leading to my current application (that was submitted), and also interview link, etc.

You need to click on the link for the secondary application you submitted to see that chart. It's a little wonky.

I also got the final decision status last thursday and have not yet received the letter. I live 45 minutes from campus, called yesterday and was told that the letters were mailed earlier this week. This waiting makes it sort of hard to concentrate on anything else haha..Hopefully we will all get word any day now!

Earlier this week???? Didn't they send them last Friday? 😕 ........ one more week of waiting????

yea thats the impression that I had too based on previous posts..I assume that they maybe sent them out in batches on different days as it likely takes time to prepare the letters and such..good luck!

Does anybody know how late the institution interviews? When the last group of invitation goes out?

Drexel interviews through April, IIRC. I'm not sure when the last interviews go out, you may want to check last year's thread.
 
i ve been complete since end of september but nothing from drexe no status change or anything is it pretty much over now
 
Has anyone had any luck receiving correspondence from Drexel after withdrawing from an acceptance? Any idea on timeline? I withdrew a number of weeks ago, and I'd like my money back... 🙄

Hi Shells! I just wanted to give you a heads up that you will probably be waiting till the end of this week - if not early next week - for your letter. Most people get them in the 7-10 days after they get the final status update. I got "final decision" status on 2/17 and didn't get the packet till 2/26. I think you said you got your final decision status on 2/24 so you will probably get your packet one week after I did. Sorry to say that you may be waiting a while longer but hopefully it will allow you to relax till the weekend 🙂

So i'm sure there is info on this earlier in the thread but I can't seem to find it. I'm interviewing in 2 days...can anyone provide me with some insight into what the interview is like? (ie. types of questions) I've also heard some other stuff about there possibly being an essay to write the day of the interview...is that true? If so, what does it entail?

Everyone waits in the conference room in the admissions department and then receives a packet of information, including a page with an essay question on it. The prompts are all ethical questions, but they're open-ended, so there's no "right" answer. My interviewer told me they don't put a whole lot of weight into the essay. As long as you don't write something really stupid, you're okay. You have a lot of time to write the essay, so no worries. After that, you'll watch a presentation on the two curricula at Drexel, followed by a tour of the building. Some people toured later because they had earlier interviews, but others interviewed after the tour.

My interview was really relaxed. I interviewed with Dr. Parrish, whose office is right in the admissions department. It was nice, since I didn't have to take a shuttle to Hahnemann for my interview. After your faculty interview, you'll have your student interview over lunch. Finally, there's an optional Q&A session. The day was pleasant and relaxed, so no worries!
 
Hi everyone! New to the Drexel thread, but just received an interview invite today (I found it by checking my status; still no email notification). I scheduled it for 3/21. Does anyone have any insight as to whether these late interviews are purely for waitlist spots? Or are there actual spots in the class left to fill? Just curious.

My student interviewer told me that due to the high tuition, there's actually a lot of waitlist movement at Drexel compared to other schools. So I think you have a chance of getting in. I would call them tomorrow though and check if they have an earlier available date. I called the day after I scheduled mine, and received a date 3 weeks earlier :luck:!!!

Oh wow.. I'm five hours from Drexel. I guess they send the letter a little over a week after your status changes. Not fair!!

I don't think it's that, I think it's that they don't bother to use first class mail. The letter was dated the day after my status change, IIRC.
 
Hey all, I'm interviewing on Thursday for a linkage spot through Drexel's post-bacc program. Thanks for all the helpful feedback on the interview process, I hate going into things without knowing what i'm in store for.

Just wondering if anyone else would be there thursday. Are there many traditional applicants still interviewing this late in the cycle? Will this late session be mostly non-trad applicants or be smaller than other drexel interview sessions? Good luck to anyone still waiting to hear back or who still needs to interview

anyone choose PIL and get contacted recently for interview/shadowing? I got accepted about two months ago, but still haven't received additional information aside from the form with the acceptance letter
 
I just received my acceptance today!!! 😀

Interviewed: 1/8
Final decision: 2/24 (letter dated 2/25)
Received Acceptance letter: 3/2

CONGRATS!!! My final decision came around the same day, I'm anxiously waiting for my letter!! Just wondering, how far from Drexel are you located (as if that has any correlation to how long it will take 🙂 lol )?
Do you think you will matriculate here?

Hey you should have gotten an email about dates to observe the PIL program. I would email/call to get the info. 🙂
