Drexel has so many applicants and interviews ALOT of people so I'm sure people are getting rejected, but at that point most stop reading the thread or at least posting. Trust me, I'm an expert at getting rejected.

Anyone send letters of interest? If so, who did you address them to and how did you send them (email, fax, snail mail)???

I just received my acceptance today!!! 😀

Interviewed: 1/8
Final decision: 2/24 (letter dated 2/25)
Received Acceptance letter: 3/2

Congrats shells227! I interviewed on the same day and my file is still at the committee. Things always have to move so slowly with me at every school.

I sent one to the email address they provide (mdadmissions or something) and also a Hardcopy to the school

Who did you address the letter to? The dean of admissions? Do you have a name by chance?

I think I wrote something along the lines of "admissions committee" or "office of MD admissions"... You could address it to Kelli Kennedy

Not yet! I interviewed the week after you though, so I could potentially have a status change tomorrow or Friday! Congrats again! 😀

Good luck! :xf: I hope you get a final decision and then a big envelope! Is Drexel your top choice?

Oh really.. I wonder if we met. Who did you interview with? I've read that different interviewers turn their stuff in to the adcom at various times..so hopefully you'll get a final decision soon.:xf: good luck!

Got that big envelope!

Interviewed 1/8
"Final Decision" status 2/24
Letter received 3/1

I'm about 15 minutes from campus

I interview on 1/8 also and my status still hasnt changed to final decision yet! Ah, to be patient or not to be patient....

I guess that just means my interviewer is slow in submitting the form?

Thanks! Congrats on your acceptance as well! It's far too early for me to rank though. I have to wait to get some financial aid info back. I've been fortunate enough to have some tough decisions to make soon.

Most likely. They probably have to be present at the meeting for your file to be reviewed.

I realize I am interviewing really late, but I was wondering if anyone had any pointers for me. I have not really been getting too much love this cycle, so I could definitely use a good interview. Thanks!

Anyone else interviewing on monday?

There's lots of good advice earlier in the thread.

A couple things:
- Drexel's interview day is a marathon, not a sprint. Things are really spaced out, it goes from about 9-3ish.
- There is an essay to write while you're there. It's an ethical type thing, and you have the entire day to write it. Lots of people in my group pre-wrote.
- You may have to take the shuttle to the hospital downtown for your interview. People said it wasn't too bad, but I think it would have been annoying.
- Interviews with students are over lunch, generally very laid back so just be your collected, interesting self.
- Questions were pretty standard, my faculty interview wasn't really conversational but others may have had different experiences.

Okay, that's actually more than a few things, but hope they help!

I'm not interviewing Monday but I'll be there for the PIL thing, not sure if I'm 100% sold. Did anyone do the MS1 shadow day?

I did. Enjoyed it a lot, actually. I'm pretty sold, even though it means mandatory class hours. My group had a great working dynamic, the facilitator largely stayed out of things, and the students really helped each other out.

What makes you hesitant about PIL?

Mandatory class, though I would probably go even if I were in IFM. I have a three year old and god forbid an emergency comes up with her I don't wnt the extra guilt of letting my group down. I am going to get a firsthand feel for the pbl type learning because I'm completely unfamiliar and the only advice I've gotten is biased by people in each respective program .

I definitely like alot about it though so I'm not sure.

So ... for those of you who think you've been waiting oh so long...

I interviewed on Nov 18!

Still "with a member of the admissions committee" - so if there is anyone who has/is/was waiting longer than I, please give a shout out +pity+:bang::boom::diebanana:

I mean, we have talked about this, but I am still on that original 6-8 weeks till a final decision status, and I interviewed on Dec 6th. I just got in to my state school with a scholarship, so I am pretty over it at this point. Seemed like a neat school though with the PIL program.

literally heard nothing, having been completed since october 10th... today "thank you for your application, your file has been reviewed and will be re-evaluated at a later in the season for a final decision."

so... basically a pre-interview hold... at this point = rejection?

At some time this past week my status finally changed to "A final decision has been reached..." :xf: for a big envelope! I'm getting nervous now. Interviewed first week of January.

Has anyone who has been admitted heard anything from them about financial aid stuff? I know it's a bit early, but I've heard some other schools have sent it out already, just making sure I haven't missed anything.

I have recently received my letter (3/3) and theres a page that is an informational guideline from the finaid office. Their deadline to file FAFSA is May 1, but they encourage doing it way sooner...

Hey SDNers! I've tried searching for this, but has anyone heard when Drexel's second look day is? 🙂

I called and they said it was Saturday April 2nd, but im unsure why more information hasn't been given about it. They call it "accepted students day" here too just FYI if you want to call and ask about it. I'm hoping they email us info about it soon!

I'd like to know too!

Also, I am working on re-grouping and preparing to re-apply this year. I was wondering: folks that applied really early last year (i.e. AMCAS done almost immediately after it was opened for the season and secondaries completed asap) when did you start hearing back? Have any of you been put on hold this whole time or have they given you all some form of decision by now (waitlist, accepted, rejected)?

After more than 13 weeks post interview, my app is finally with 'a member of the committee.' Wonder what the decision will be after all this time..lol

Good luck with that, I just wanted to give you a huge amount of love for your How I Met Your Mother icon. I have described that scene to people before!

I wasn't super early because I was waiting on spring grades, but I send my Drexel secondary in in early August (so early-ish...maybe?)

Anyway, I'm still on hold (pre-interview). I've given up hope.

Pretty much a three-way tie with entourage and Its Always Sunny for my favorite shows. I am just hoping I can set the record for 'the longest wait for an acceptance to Drexel' award. It would be lengen...wait for it, DARY!

Any chance that they might be reviewing those placed on pre-interview hold? or are we done at this point?

Call and see if they sent it... I despise USPS

Yes I think I will call, I just wanted to give them time because I do live far from Drexel but I think 2 weeks is enough. Why cant they just tell us in the update I've been going crazy these past two weeks 🙁, I'm surprised I haven't decided to sleep next to the mailbox!

Is anyone that is going to Accepted Students Day April 2, thinking of also looking at apartments? I will be coming in Thursday, March 31. I'm looking for a female roommate(s).

How did you hear about the second look day? I sent in my deposit last week, but there was no info about the 2nd look when I got the acceptance letter... at least I don't think there was.

What is this accepted students day that everyone is talking about? I have ZERO knowledge of it???

Does anyone have anymore details regarding this? I would really love to check everything out again and talk to people about living situations and what not.

I called the student affairs office to find out the date after I heard from my student host that there was one. I've also emailed requesting more information but they keep saying an email will be sent shortly so who knows when that will be. All I know is that its April 2nd so make plans to head out there then if your from OOS. Hoping to get more information on it soon! 😀

Oh lol sorry, the reason I know the date is because my interview host told me about it 🙂

As am I... I've been complete since 10/28 and just got the "re-review" message... does anybody have any insight? I'm going to assume rejection and re-apply June 1st. 😡

From everything I have heard from SDN/during my interview this year, and getting that status last cycle, re-review=rejection. I am sorry if Drexel was otherwise a good fit for you.

First post here.

Not sure if this helps, but I was complete in November. I got the re-review message early Jan, then a week or two later I got an invite.

is there any sort of agenda available for the accepted students day? are there any first or second year students that can give a mini preview of what to expect? I'm 5 hours away and I want to know if it's worth the drive for the weekend...
