That's rather late, especially for those hoping to compare financial aid if they have multiple acceptances. Is this going to slow down wait list movement?

It's definitely very late. It seems a little rude to make people choose w/out having a financial aid offer from them, but it seems from previous posters that not much aid is given anyway. I don't think it would affect the waitlist movement since everyone is allowed to have only one acceptance after May 15th.

Hey guys!

I submitted my app to Drexel way back at the end of October. I have still not gotten any notice from them. No interview, no e-mail, no call, no letter, nothing. I have routinely checked my account on thier BannerWeb system, and it keeps saying "No Decision is currently available". :bang:

Is anyone else having this issue? I understand from this forum that most people have had their interviews, gotten their decisions, and that the waitlist is pretty much set. Since I haven't had an interview, I doubt my chances of getting one are that good at this point. What I don't get is why they don't just go ahead and reject me already? Why are they keeping me hanging? Keep in mind, I haven't even interviewed yet. . .

just sent an email withdrawing my acceptance. hope my spot goes to one of you that's on the waitlist!

You shouldn't be surprised. It's fairly standard for (some) schools to give you the silent treatment until all interviews have been completed and all decisions have been made. I have the same situation at both Jefferson and Temple. You'll get a decision eventually, but it probably won't be until sometime in April...

I agree with most schools, but hasn't Drexel been putting most people on the pre-interview hold if they were complete around this time? I haven't heard of many rejections pre-interview, but the hold seems pretty common.

Has anyone received an acceptance/rejection/waitlist letter in the mail from intereviews in Feb yet??

Has anyone received an acceptance/rejection/waitlist letter in the mail from intereviews in Feb yet??

I interviewed the first week of Feb and my status is "under review by the committee."

I know I've been asking this a lot, but I'm getting worried since people who interviewed after me have gotten final decisions...

Is anyone who interviewed the week of 1/10 willing to share where they're at right now, as far as status goes? I've been with the adcom for something like two months now. I'll wait as long as I have to for good news though 🙂

It changed Wed last week. When did you interview?

February also, but after you... so all things considered I hope mine would change soon too. Keep us updated on when yours finally goes to the "decision" status!

Interviewed 1/31 and my status went from "interview scheduled" to "under review by the admissions committee" today. So it never said "with a committee member" that I know of. Hopefully this means I'll be hearing fairly soon! :xf::xf:

Good Luck :luck:

So, my status first changed to "a decision has been made" (which I took as waitlist) but is now "a final decision."

Do people get an email if they're accepted?

If they do, I guess that means rejection... still no letter.

I had the same thing, my status was "a decision" way back in sept then "a final" in December, and I got my acceptance letter 10ish days after the final decision. No email.

Final decision here as well! interviewed jan 19th. stats on mdapps.
Does this mean that you are both waiting for the letter after getting the "a final decision" status, or that you have been accepted? Sorry, just confused with the present tense used by gymdoc10..

thanks

Does drexel acknowledge the receipt of letters of interest?

(is the medstat@drexel email the correct one to send them to?)

thanks

I sent one to that address but it was not acknowledged. No surprise tho, they seem to avoid emails at all cost, lol.

Correct email. They acknowledged a ? I asked and the receipt of my LOI

hmm, I didn't ask any questions in it - perhaps I should have so I'd get a response 🙄

thanks for the responses

They acknowledged by updates over the winter. I guess it depends who is reviewing their e-mail that day.

just called in. letters went out today!

Um? What exactly do you mean? Letters have been going on repeatedly throughout the cycle, are you referring to a certain batch of interview dates, or maybe one including yourself? If so, when did you interview?

My status reverted from "Under review by committee" back to "Interview scheduled...6-8 weeks until for final decision."

Ugh

Ugh

I know it sucks but it isn't necessarily a bad sign. I spent entirely too much time contemplating what my random status changes meant, ignore the status and try and only check once or twice a week. It will come when it comes, stressing won't change that.

I interviewed on 1/19 and got the final decision status this weekend. So maybe mid-January batch?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much influence it has on the ADCOM's decision if one of my parents is an alumni for their medical school?

does anyone know if their wait list ranks are set in stone? or should I be sending frequent updates?

i applied through the linkage program with their PMED program. I was told i'd get a decision "the week of march 28th". I imagine this is in the batch of letters they just sent out today

Well, they specifically ask for that info on their secondary, so I'd assume it comes into play somewhere. I am in the same situation as you, but as I am still under review by the committee, I'm not sure how much this is going to help. In any case, I'm sure the legacy status helped with getting us interviews.

Good luck.

Just got a final decision status, interviewed 2/9. Does anyone know how long it takes to get the letter in the mail?

7-10 days, but someone said letters went out yesterday so maybe sooner. Read through the thread, this has been covered multiple times. 🙂

I interviewed January 18 and still did not get a decision. Anybody else in a similar situation?

Interviewed Dec 6th...still at "your interview has been scheduled, please wait 6-8 weeks"

Interviewed week of January 10 and my file has been "with the adcom" for a fairly long time now...then again, I can hardly complain compared to swammer11 ><Hopefully all this waiting will result in good news...

Wow, I feel like a tool. It's second look today, and I completely forgot. If only I had a phone with a calendar/reminders 😕
Hope everyone has a great day!

I missed second look too! Kind of curious as to what the class looks like so far. Anyone made it out for second look?

Accepted today, but will most likely be withdrawing. Interviewed 1/18. Best of luck to those still waiting!

I think I may have set a record for longest turnaround from interview to decision letter in the mail.

interview - late November
decision status change - late March
letter received today (18+ weeks post-interview)
