Hey beerog2003 and BlackDr2b, is Howard really selective on who will get interview??
I'm not beerog2003 or BlackDr2b, but I can say for a fact that "Yes, they are very selective"... this is can be a really good thing because you don't waste money flying over there if they are not going to offer you an acceptance... so if you get an interview here, you have an almost
80% chance of being accepted... and if you are a woman your chance goes to
~97% (per the numbers below)... so if you are a lady and you got an interview here.... you are pretty much set on an acceptance unless you say something absolutely stupid at the interview (so you should be good).
As you can also see from the numbers, the chance of getting an interview is pretty woeful i.e. about 5.8%
The number also says, if you are not a minority, don't apply as your chances are even more woeful
i.e. 2 out of 1553 (and only 1 of those eventually got accepted - therefore, you have about 0.06% chance of getting accepted if you are not a minority).
