would have been interviewing there with you 3 weeks from today but withdrawing. Hopefully someone gets the spot GL
 
I completed my secondary about 2 weeks ago...how long do you think it will be until I receive some kind of update and how will they let me know if I am invited or rejected or waitlisted or anything else...? Through email? snail mail? Thanks!!! Congrats to those who got in...I hope I can celebrate soon too!

You can be invited to interview anytime up until towards the end of the cycle. However, within 8 weeks of being complete I believe is the norm but it can vary. Correspondences are via email (invites etc) until you receive the signed letter of admission through snail mail (you may receive one via email before the signed USPS one, it depends) . However though the first step is getting that interview. Good luck!

Congrats! They are really quick getting acceptances out! At least we know if you get an interview you won't be on pins and needles! I can forsee my future after an interview and it may involve a bottle of Pepto...

I got accepted yesterday, too, by mail!! I'm SUPER EXCITED!! I interviewed on the same day as you, too. I'm Junior...I was wearing the gray blazer. 👍👍👍

I totally thought we would be called instead of mailed, thats why I was sooo nervous when I got the letter! were you the one who said that your name was misspelled on your nametag? are you going to go to Meharry?! I already called the housing department to secure oncampus housing!

lol, yeah I was the one who said my name tag was spelled wrong. As of right now, yeah I'm going to Meharry!! I need to call those towers, too, and get my name on the list. I thought we were going to get e-mailed, and when I got the letter and saw that it wasn't in a manila envelope I thought it was a rejection/hold lol. anyway, who were you, again?

You folks thinking of dorothy brown or the Towers? Anyone know the pros and cons of each?
 
So, I just sent my deposit. Can anybody tell me about the housing? I never got to see them. And why ppl want to stay on campus? I feel like Im to old for that.

Haha, I know huh (the old part). But hey since its on campus and I think faculty and staff are also allowed to live in the towers I don't think age should be a problem. 😀 I highly doubt it would be like undergrad freshman housing with RA's all over the place!
 
I'm talking about the apartments on campus across from that outdoor mini theater-type thing where ceremonies were once held. I just referred to them as the towers, but I'm not sure if there's an actual name. If it doesn't exist, we should definitely make the Meharry class of 2015 facebook group!!

Congrats Jweezy! yea the building next to the ceremony site is the royal towers. I believe dorothy brown is on the other side of the hospital. Oh yea there is also a facebook group too :welcome:

I am a future Meharry hopeful here, for the ones with interviews and acceptances can you please either post or pm me your numbers. I just want to get an idea what they are looking for. Also if there are any current Meharry medical students can you please pm me too, really need some advice! I have been following most of you guys and I feel like I'm with you every step of the way.lol...I get nervous for you guys! Congrats to the interviews and acceptances!! I can only imagine what I will do when my turn arrives..ugh..not a good feeling Thanks

This is refreshing; seeing yall getting accepted and all, at the same time biting the crap of my nail because I am too stressed out that my file become complete on 11/8. I just wonder how long it will take them to get back to me......

No news yet, she interviewed on Monday the 15th so we are hoping she hears on Monday the 22nd because it is her birthday! That will be the best gift she has ever received!

Interview invite today for Jan 7th ( I actually got the email while in another interview). Excited to see what Nashville has to offer!!!

I received an interview invite yesterday for January as well! I'm so excited!! God is AMAZING!!🙂 FYI-I was complete on 10/25.

I'm a re-applicant to medical school, but not Meharry's. I've been accepted to the 4-year class. and congrats TexasBelle87!!

Did any of you get the confirmation email yet? I kinda thought that would be an almost instant reply but I guess not. Kinda makes me feel like I did something wrong lol
 
Well....seeing as how I wasn't complete until 11/9 I guess that means no invite until sometime next....year? Wait! :smack: I only get anxious when I come back to sdn...:laugh:

I was complete 10/25, invite 11/18. Good luck to everyone, this is interview #12 for me and I still cannot believe my good fortune... although all this traveling will be exhausting.

So it seems like most people interviewed in October & November and there will be more in January. Any people interviewing in December??

Just trying to see how many interview days they are having before January so I can "kinda" predict my chances 🙂

My interview is Dec 13, there were a few others with that same date as well on this thread.

Yes. at least one is open file. However depending on time constraints you may have one or two interviewers.

Interviewing on December 6th, pretty sure at least one more person on this thread is interviewing on the same day. Can't believe it is two weeks away! So excited 🙂 YEY!
